I would avoid any supplement that has stimulant properties, as they can have (and usually DO have) nasty side effects, like the pharmaceuticals do, IE: high blood pressure and other cardiovascular issues, risk of stroke, etc.

Green tea is usually safe and has been shown in clinical studies to have thermogenic properties (it stimulates metabolism). 3 cups a day is easy to drink.
