What a nice way to start the day, Cottage. It looks like another cold and gorgeous day around here. I hope to get outside for a few hours later.

Yesterday I packed away the Halloween decorations and finally managed to plant some apple mint that a friend gave me a month ago! There is so much work to be done out there and the leaves are finally down. Now to find someone to rake them for me. I need to make squares for coffee hour after Church tomorrow. I'd post the recipe but it's food porn.

Hershey and I are about to share an apple and then have official breakfast - oatmeal, wheat germ and almonds.

What's going on with you this weekend of the TIME CHANGE!

morning chicks... a real quickie for me, need to get dd to work then home for a minute to do a quick freshen up of the house. Then off to town for dog food, meatballs and stuff for pina colda's ( sorry food porn ) then it is home for a bit, then off to the hall to decorate. Then home for a shower and a quick meal and then change for the party. Plus I have my girlfriends coming down from the next town. Whoot Whoot. But to top it all off we are going to have a huge wind and rain storm, the end of Noel. Well not to worry about that. Love ya chicks have a great day and I will post some pics of the party tomorrow. Have a great one.

Morning chicks!

Cottage Enjoy breakfast with your mom! Are you going to Cracker Barrel?

LC Sounds like a busy, but very fun day. Enjoy!

Ruth Lucky me- I never got around to putting up Halloween decor, so that is one less thing for me to clean up or put away. Laundry on the other hand.....

Me- I don't have one thing planned for today, which is heaven on earth in comparison to the last few weeks of rushing around like a chicken with my head cut off! DH rolled over this morning and surprised me with having the whole weekend off!

Eating has just been embarrasingly bad, although I still lost a pound in October. I need to quit saying that I am going to get back on plan and just make a freaking plan to DO IT!!

I miss you girlies and am really going to make an effort to get in here and post daily as it makes a big difference for me!!

Happy November! Abigail turns 6 this month- hard to beleive!!

Morning chicks! And goodnight Kara!

I have found one more reason to love love love the beach. DH and DSS both are coming down with a cold. Me, never felt better even with TOM here. I think eating well and regularly taking my vitamins and supplements has helped my immunity. Before if anyone sneezed within a mile of me, I got sick. Even TOM has been a breeze, and for me that enough incentive to stay on plan even when I don't lose the weight as fast as I'd like to.

Shoot - Kiddo is up and I've got to feed him, be back later.

Hey Kiko! Nice to "see" you around! My Connor just turned six on Monday, so he and Abigail must be very close. He's in a very difficult stage, motivation-wise. Doesn't seem to want to do anything lately. It's a real struggle for his Type A mom! Have a fun family weekend!

Welcome to the weekend, Dixie! Glad you're feeling so well!!!

I'm off to bed. I still find the time difference odd!

Real quick fly-by girls! Just wanted to pop in and say hi! Super busy this morning, like crazy, and once my help gets in at noon, then I have 3 orientations to take care of. Hope you girls have a great day!

Hi chicks,
Today is my usual weigh-in day, but I decided to skip it this week since I have been obsessing too much about the numbers lately. It's killing me though, I'm dying to look. Went to DB and SIL's for dinner last night and got to play with my great-niece for a while. She's almost 6 mos old and i haven't seen her for a couple of months. Fun age! I got up early this morning and did the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis with DD. It's chilly, but a beautiful day for a walk. I'm thinking that next year I might be able to manage the 1 mile fun run. We hit the farmer's market, and did the grocery shopping. Then I took the kids to the bank to open bank accounts, and I decided I deserved to play on the computer for a while. I think it's going to cost me $$ though because I've been checking out the HSN sale and I see a dress I might like for the office Christmas Party. I'm going to make a big pot of vegetable beef soup and then take the kids to see the Bee movie later.

Everyone sounds busy with fun stuff this weekend. Well, except you missmess, I think I'll croak if I hear High School Musical 1 OR 2 ever again.

Hee, hee Schmoodle- my kids and I just actually discovered High School Musical a few months ago. That has become our Friday night ritual, we curl up in bed with popcorn and sing our hearts out. We rarely watch the whole thing through, so I am not too sick of it yet.

I am such a dork- I didn't realize until this morning that we turn our clocks back tonight. I haven't had the TV or radio turned on in days.

Hey, Kiko, we did go to Cracker Barrel, that's where she wanted to go. I had my old standby, oatmeal with pecans & bananas, drizzled with SF maple syrup. I'd have loved to have the pancakes, but I've been doing so well for a change, I don't want to ruin all my good work. It's great to hear from you again! When is Abigail's birthday? November is a big birthday month in our family. Mom's today, Sis-in-law tomorrow, mine on the 7th, and my brother's on the 30th. It sure keeps us busy!

Jake and I spent the afternoon making a dedicated playroom in the basement for the grandkids. I don't know why we didn't do this ages ago, it's so nice to have all their toys and things in one area! Jake even built in some bookcases for their books and toys. Now, if the kids will just use it, rather than wanting to hang out with the grown-ups!

Well, chicks, I got paid back for my snide remark about High School Musical. One of DD's friends had tickets to go with her family but has to play in a soccer tournament tomorrow, so has generously offered us her tickets. DD is delighted, of course. I don't have anything else planned, so off we go. I'll just take earplugs!

Head lice are rampaging through DD and DS's school. I heard today that at least three of her friends and a bunch from her Girl Scout troop have it. We had it 2 years ago and it took all summer to finally get rid of it. I used that chemical stuff they sell at the drugstore on her and DS 3 times, shampooing carpets and furniture, washing bedding, cleaning the house constantly, it was exhausting. What finally got rid of it was coal tar shampoo by Neutrogena (T-Gel), if anyone ever needs that information. That shampoo and combing through every day with the comb. I found that after trying olive oil, mayonnaise, all kinds of stuff. God, I hope we don't get it, I don't ever want to go through that again! Total nightmare! Just makes my skin crawl!

By the way, the Bee movie is cute. Got to run over and pick up the show tickets now. Have a good night chicks.

Cottage Abigail's birthday isn't until the 28th, but she is so excited already!!

Schmoodle That is too funny- at least you will know all the songs.

I did well with eating today- it feels good.
