My aunt and uncle have done it and lost weight, but they're both yo-yo dieters and gained the weight back. Not sure that I believe in anything where you have to be injected with stuff. HTH!

I haven't done it, but once played a round of golf with a woman who had. She said (and I'm paraphrasing here) "It's no secret why you lose weight on his plan..... he frickin' starves you to death". Just for the record, this lady was not able to maintain her weight loss after completing the program.

Run away as FAST AS YOU CAN. I've been there and done it. I had success, but you need to know that by the end of the diet, with the additional restrictions that I was CONSTANTLY given by their PRACTICAL (not REGISTERED) NURSES, I was down to 452 calories a day. Period. And at that level of calorie restriction, my body went into starvation mode. Because I stopped losing weight, my calories were restricted FURTHER and I was chewed out on a regular basis because my body wouldn't "release". My diet for the last 6 weeks of my program consisted of 6 egg whites, 1 cup of vegetables, chicken broth, 100g of tuna, and 1 apple a day. I was forbidden from: eating tomatoes, drinking any diet drinks, drinking decaffinated coffee, no fruit other than 1 apple a day, no green beans, no broccoli, no food after 4pm, no seasonings including pepper, and I was told that I had to pick a LOW-CARBOHYDRATE TUNA (the only tuna I ate was 100% packed in H2O and unseasoned -- this is PROTEIN, not CARBS)! Seriously! I was absolutely 100% compliant and had the urinalysis to prove it. I was told that the REASON my body wouldn't "release" was because I was dreaming about food, and those dreams were preventing me from losing weight. I'm serious. I was told to up my exercise, and for those six weeks, on 452 calories a day, I was walking 10 km per day, and was seeing a personal trainer three times a week. At the end, I handed over my food diary and asked the RPN to count up my calories because I couldn't BELIEVE the restrictions I was under. SHE came to the figure of 452. Per day. Period. I was THEN told that "the injections make up the difference" and that "I wasn't trying hard enough". You all need to know that I have a post-graduate degree in a medical field. I knew this was complete and utter garbola and said so. I left the program and the head-games. IF you want quick weight loss and to get a vitamin B12 shot 3 times a week while draining your bank account, go for it. Regardless of what they say, they do NOT in my opinion, teach you how to live with food because their maintenance program is a complete joke. I am now trying Medifast (still waiting for my food) based on the positive review given by this website, and will have slower results at 1/5 of the cost. Seriously. And I will still need to learn to deal with food, but at least the head-games are over and my bank balance is relatively intact. Think about it...

So, funny. I've never ever heard of this, but my neurologist is Dr. Bernstein. And, frankly, I'm not too high on him either.
