Default Healthy BMI!

I know BMI charts aren't the most meaningful thing in the world, but it was kind of a big deal for me to go from "obese" to "overweight." And now I'm finally in the "healthy" or "normal" range, so that's a very big deal!! When I weighed in this morning, I was 167, which puts me at a BMI of 24.7. Wooooohoooo!!! At my starting weight, my BMI was a frightening 40.6.

I'm also now 2 pounds away from my initial goal (which I'm revising because I've realized I need to lose more). Even though I'll keep losing, I plan to celebrate hitting 165 with a glass of champagne or two!

Anyway, here's to finally being "normal"!!

Congratulations on reaching a healthy BMI, as you say might not be the most accurate measurement but but so often we stride to get past the BMI mile stones and they feel so great.

Well done on your achievement. Good luck on reaching your new goal.

Congrats!! I know some people don't consider them all that useful, but the way I look at is, when you weigh 346 lbs like I did, you have no idea where you will want to end up. So a healthy BMI gives you something to aim for.

Here's to "normal".
