Lightbulb

This SUGAR BUSTERS BOARD is dedicated to listing your favorite NAME BRAND FOODS that are SUGAR BUSTERS LEGAL.

Just list the foods you enjoy. Whenever you find something new you'd like to add to your list, just click on the EDIT link and do any updates as needed. Don't worry if someone has listed a food you want to list as well, that just shows how many people eat that particular item and how popular it may be.

So, go through the fridge and the cupboard and make those lists!!!!

Default Favorite Foods

Name brands--I try to cook with fresh and natural ingredients if I can. My favorite SB legal food is steamed artichokes!

I also like Nature's Own Stone Ground Whole Wheat Bread with no sugar added. In NC you can get hamburger buns in this recipe--but not here in Alabama

Smile A new sweetener - STEVIA

Hello!

Everyone is talking about SPLENDA and about AGAVE, so I went to my local Whole Foods store yesterday and investigated.

Since they don't carry artificial sweeteners at all (!), they do have substitutes that are natural.

I will copy what it says on the back of the baggy

STEVIA - 100% natural (Herb and vegetable extracts)
NO - saccharin
nutrasweet
aspartame
refined sugar
maltodextrin
fructose
artificial sweeteners of any kind
Ingredients: Fiber, Stevia Leaf Extract
STEVIA PLUS - FIBER NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT
Less than 1 Calorie and 1/2 g of Carbohydrates per serving.
www.steviaplus.com

ALSO, I foun AGAVE Nectar for $2.69 (small bottle)

LOW-CARB BARS - our Whole Foods store carries them. Only 2g of carbohidrates

If anyone has questions or suggestions, bring it on!

The sugar in plain yogurt is lactose, which is fine and legal. Just make sure the yogurt has no added sugar (or high fructose corn syrup) in the ingredient list.

Thanx Debbie for your list. I printed it out yesterday and took it with me to the Health Food store and to Trader Joe's. Where can I find Wheatina.

I just started Sugar Busters and would like to know if anyone has a list of must haves from Trader Joes that are legal? I am grateful for any help. Dana

Default Question

I am just wondering. I have been looking at recipes here and at other sites and I keep seeing Agave used in place of honey. What is this and where do I find it? I have looked at some of my local grocery stores but maybe I'm just not looking in the right section of the store. Help would be greatly appreciated!
