Default Week of 6/3

Hi ladies!!! I'm doing GREAT. Been really good with eating. Went grocery shopping on Saturday (that takes me about 3 hours since I go to 3 stores!).

Planned my weekend this time and stuck to it, except for a planned extra-point splurge on Saturday night. Went over by 9 points. Allowed myself 12. Not too bad A friend was back in MA (he lives in CA now) and so DH and I went up there and stayed out until 12:30 AM! Didn't get home until past 2am since we were far from our house. Would have slept over somewhere, but didn't have my medicine with me. Yesterday DH and I cleaned the house a bit, but then I got tired from the night before and needed a nap. Still have to dust, should get to that tonight before weigh-in.

SOOOO... Here's the good news. DH and I have decided to TTC! So I made a pre-conception appointment with my OB/GYN. I need to get updated vaccinations and go off my BC pills, so we can't try for a few months but I'm really excited about it! It also means that I'll have to go off my medication for the leukemia, so its kind of scary, but we're willing to try it once and take the risk. If it goes well and we decide we want to do it another time, then I will do it again. If not, we said we would adopt. But we want to try ourselves at least once. Of course this decision has given me lots of motivation to stick with my plan and lost the extra pounds before I get pregnant.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

I had an okay weekend... My food wasn't perfect, but it wasn't too bad either. I am cutting down on meat right now, so I had some tasty vegetarian dishes all weekend, but think I had too much veggie pizza on Saturday night. Anyway I am at the point that if I eat just a little too much my stomach feels it right away which is a good thing!!

Lori: We're almost the same weight right now! Yah for TTCing, I hope it goes well (and the practicing is always fun!!!). Have you read the book Taking Charge of your Fertility? I haven't but know tons of women who have sworn by that book for TTCing!

Kierie: You are doing so well!!!

Cheers!

Ali

Ali I haven't read that book, but I'll check it out! I've been meaning to pick up the "What to Expect When You're Expecting" book. Maybe I'll pick it up today. I have to go get blood work done and there's a Borders on the same road haha

Down 2.2 this week at WI! Only 13.4 pounds to go until I reach my WW Lifetime weight and a healthy BMI

Ummmm I guess this is the weekly thread? LOL

Anyway my last week was good, I lost 900g... I can't think off the top of my head how much that is in lb, but 1000g is 2.2lb, so probably around 2lb I think. I have started trying to plan my days in advance, I find if I do that i eat less snacky food during the day... then again, it's winter here now so I am all for the comfort food.... damn comfort food! My weigh in's are on Monday, so I still have a few days to go, thank goodness!

Should have introduced myself (if you haven't read my intro thread).. my name is Emma, i'm 23.. My DP Stu is 26, and we have a 7 month old daughter, Gaby (Gabrielle) who is the light of our lives. I need to lose about half my body weight (ugh) but I am on my way. I think I have about 36.6kg to go, and have lost 13kg so far...... I'm wanting to be close-ish to half way to my goal weight (at least) before I get pregnant again, but that said, I REEEEALLLLLLLLY want another baby, so I'm lucky DP isn't too keen on the idea right now (i'm glad one of us has some sense!)

ETA - the TCOYF book (taking charge of your fertility) is really good, and I also recommend signing up to the fertility friend website as well, if you are planning on charting your cycles &/or using Natural Family Planning (NFP) methods to TTC....... We conceived Gaby in 3 cycles, and that site was so handy! (if anyone has questions about FF/fertility friend, or NFP just send me a PM )

Lori: Yup I have What to Expect While Expecting as well... Pretty good reference, my doc recommended it. Wait until you're pregnant to read the stuff on childbirth

Emma: Welcome! I want a baby as well.... My daughter is almost 11 months old now and I so want to be pregnant again. I'll wait a few months... Actually what I want from my DF for my birthday is to TTC

Cheers!

Hello! HAPPY JUNE! I am not sure if someone on here said they ordered their bathing suit from KOHLS or not but I got online and there are some really nice (flattering) suits on there! I got a brown with swirls and it has the flowing tank so it doesn't stick to my tummy!

Congratulations Lori!! It is always exciting to plan for a new baby!

As for me, I have had a bad bad bad week! I am going after it again starting today. As you may or may not know I have been soo sick for weeks! Last Friday they ran some tests for Lymphoma! I am still waiting to here back so as you can imagine I have been pity eating, comfort eating, stress eating and whatever else kind of label you can put on my eating. I am hoping to find out today. I was suppose to find out on Monday but everytime I call I get an excuse. The one yesterday was that they were waiting on my x-ray to confirm diagnosis! Whatever that means? Makes it even a little bit scarier I think!

Anyway Have a good week!
A promise to myself! I am going to eat healthy all day today!!!!!!!

OOOH LORI! I forgot to tell you. On american baby.com there is tons of pre conception forums and expecting forums. It is awesome. I had my baby boy April 17th 2006 and we had a group for the month of April and it was so supportive and helpful!

Tracy - Good luck with those tests. I know exactly what you are going through. I was diagnosed with leukemia last year. If you need to talk, feel free to send me a private message.

I'll check out those forums, but don't want to get ahead of myself yet! I don't think we are going to start trying until this fall, so I have a few more months to lose the extra weight and go to my leukemia specialist in Oregon (going at the beginning of September) and get some advice from him.

Week is going pretty good for me so far. Been on track food-wise. I just have to stay there this weekend. I'm driving up to NH tonight and staying with a friend until Sunday morning, then I'm going to drop by my parents' house and probably not get home until late Sunday night. Oh yeah, and DH isn't coming with me The friends I am visiting used to run a cattery out of their house, and they still have something like 9 cats (all fixed now) and he's allergic. Poor guy I'll miss him a lot. My friend just usually has VERY yummy food at her house that I'll have to resist

Kier - wow way to go! Can't wait to hear what your official WI is!!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!

modkittn - how was your weekend????

Ali - LOL I would love DP to give me a b/day card this year that says "lets start TTC now!", but hehe I don't think that'll happen (well i know it won't)

Stengel - oh gosh with all that stress/worry/etc I would be comfort eating as well!!!! I hope everything is okay...

Rainstorm - way to go with the exercise!!! I hope you are rewarded with a wonderful WI!

I've been bad... bad bad bad. Stupid period. That is all I can say LOL.. I am home alone for the next 9 days or so, and I'm really struggling with finding food for ONE PERSON. I have heaps of frozen pre-packaged meals in the freezer, but i don't want to just eat them, kwim??? I like having fresh meals, but then again, it might be easier to just eat the frozen stuff!

Hello! Everything on my tests came back good! Apparently I have tonsilittis of the 2nd set of tonsils we have behind our tongue!!!!

So I read in a magazine that people who weight themselves everyday tend to be 7-8lbs lighter! Do you think that is once you hit your goal weight? I ussually tend to eat more if I get on the scale and it has not moved, thinking well I guess I will start tomorrow!

I leave on Friday for Disneyworld and I did not hit my GOAL WEIGHT!!!!

BACK ON TRACK THIS WEEK!!!!
MY PROMISE......WATER.....POINTS TRACKED.......HEALTHY OILS.......HEALTHY EATING......NO RESTAURANTS TILL FRIDAY EVENING

THANKS FOR PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS!
