Default Over 40 always been large and more than 100 lbs to loose or lost.

Hi folks!

I recently found this site and haven't found a thread that quite addresses me so I figured i'd start one.

I am over 40 always been large (since about 4th grade) and have more than 100 lbs to loose.

137 to be exact.

I have never done it. maybe 35 at a time and then gained back even more.

Joined WW at least 10 times, done south beach, 6wkBM 3 times. (found it too restrictive. to stay on more than a few weeks,)

So I have moved on to volumetrics and found this site and the fit record site.

But - and isn't there always???

I have never done it and don't know its possible. I have read success stories and they haven't transfered.

its so hard to believe and keep trying in the face of failure.

But - again - my doc showed me a graph of my weight over the last decade. and I have gained 100 lbs!!!! he said hey it was just one lb per month!

There are reasons physical and psycological but I have dealt with a lot of them and the psycological remains.

Anyone else out there????

I'd love to chat with you all!

Susan

I think it is for those who want to lose 100 pounds. I know newbies are welcome.Check it out, it won't committ you to anything, if you think it is not for you.

The 100 pound club is a good one or this one too, specifically for over 40.

Enjoy!

Hi Susan...
like you, I'm new here too. I'm not quite 40, but I swear it's right around the corner waiting for me to poke my head out. I have over 100lbs to lose, but since I've never been thin, probably not even average, I find it hard to look at such a huge goal. I'm working on my weight in small doses. Once I reach 250lbs, from 286lbs (my highest), I'm making several small steps of 25lbs each.

Much luck and strength on your journey.

To the new ladies, do whatever works for you. It is ok to experiment til you find the right plan for you.

46 and aiming for 131 lbs lost. I am doing it 10lbs a month-much less daunting, and less stressful. Both the 100lb and 40 somethings clubs are wonderful!

PS: Karen-everytime I see your location- I laugh my butt off.
