Hey, all....

Been a while. I'm so glad to see you all are keeping the home fires burning for me. I haven't been doing WW, but I have been counting calories. I think I needed a break from points. Right now, calorie counting seems to fresh and new to me. It just seems easier for some reason. Like I said, maybe I needed something different.

I started trying to post on other 3FC boards, but none of them feel right. So I'm back again -- I hope, this time, to stay.

Sunday will be my first weigh-in on the new plan: 1600 calories a day, no more than 200 grams of carbs and trying to keep the fat down below 30 percent. It's tough, but it's getting easier.

The reason I've come back so diligently happened last week. I was about to be discharged from a short hospital stay and found myself alone in the room with my "chart." I must have been seen by about 25 doctors, so there was a report from each of them. As I flipped through the pages, I saw one word over and over and over again: obese. That's not who I am, I wanted to scream.

So, here I am. Can I come back and play? How is everyone? I can't wait to earn my first Slimmin' Sistas Dancing Nanner!

I am so glad you are here! I am sorry you were in the hospital In the end maybe it turned out to be a positive?

I know what you mean about needing something different and fresh!

It's so nice to see you, too, Misty! I think about you often. How are you?

PS The hospital thing was relatively minor. I got bit by a cat and that led to an infection in my lung. Antibiotics took care of it, but the infection was giving me chest pain and the docs wanted to make absolutely sure it wasn't my heart.
