Default 21 Days to Beat a Rut ... Day 17

Since I've found daily and/or meal planning threads and so on very encouraging let's try this. 21 days. Set you own parameters. I'm not even setting a goal. I just need to kick things up a bit. Stir up some enthusiasm.

There's no good reason for me to have an off plan day in 3 measly weeks. Is there?
Here's my general plan ...1400 cals of superfoods with 150 gms of protein (on average), some jogging in each daily walk and a four day weight lifting split with heavier weights.

Anybody in? It's only three weeks. Who knows what kind of new habits we can form!

And it doesn't matter if you're a day or 2 or 7 behind just find the thread for day 21
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=111258
and begin. There will always be a link to the next day, so that you can progress along with everyone else.

Day-19

So far so good. One habit I want to really work on is eating in front of the t.v.
I'm having the hardest time with that one. I think I leave the t.v. on just for the company and noise. I'm defenitely not going to sit on the couch and eat
anymore{ unless it's popcorn and a movie night } But try to be more mindful about sitting at the table and enjoying just my meal and company.
Thanks Susan for starting this challange I was needing a little kick in the butt

Rhonda

I did good yesterday 3/4

Although I think I need to up my calories for the next week to prep for my half-mary, I've had 2 days at 2000 and I couldnt run this morning...just wiped.

Carb loading without binging...this will be GOOD practice. How to eat more without getting out of control. Added a piece of ezekiel bread and a cup of blueberries to breakfast

Default The Table...

Hey Rhonda (mudbug) ,
Even though I started a few days behind the majority of people in this challenge, I try to read what everyone writes on the challenge.
I'm bad about watching TV when I eat too. In so many ways it seems so much easier.
What I've done though, is to play "Italian Love songs" while I'm cooking, setting the table, and eating. It may sound corney, but I found it helps me "cook happier" and eat slower (which I desperately needed). It still provides that "background noise" I seem to crave.
SO, if something similar works for you...maybe that could ease your transition back to the table. (I wish I ate there every night...then again, I also wish I didn't eat at my desk for lunch...)
Please let me know how it works for you.
Cammie

Yea... I'm bad at this game.

The exercising hasn't been so bad. I just seem to be bombarded by booze where ever I go (Ah the life of a 20-something..)

Anone have suggestions on not drinking at happy hours/ parties/ dinner parties?

I'm going to try to pull this one out of the flusher by fiddling with some fitday reports.
OK ... inspite of some really bad choices yesterday and alcohol ... my average for the last week is 1437 cals per day. And I walked 5 times. Perspective gals!

Day 17 was right on plan for me. But now I am at a business conference, which will be a lot tougher, even with my relaxed business conference rules.

My SO and I eat in front of the TV almost every night (otherwise we might have to talk to each other ). We used to sit down at the table, but then he claimed that the kitchen table chairs bothered his back and that he would be much more comfortable sitting in the recliner to eat. And we've just never gone back to the table. But it's not a problem for me. I still portion everything out and only eat my allotment for the meal, no going back for seconds. If I feel like I need a snack while watching TV, I chew gum or suck on sugar free candy. I've also found that multi-tasking while watching TV can help with the urge to snack. I fold laundry, go through mail, browse through catalogs, pay bills, etc. If I'm doing something besides just staring at the TV screen, the munchies aren't as much of a problem (and I'm being productive, too ).
