Default Net Carbs?

I know when I was on Adkins before that you could subtract the fiber from the carbs and that was your carbs that you had to count, but are there any other rules that I am not remembering. I could not find it in the book. I have the 2002 edition, the one with the recipes for using the Adkins baking product. IF anyone else has the same book please point me to the chapter or page. I am down 2# in 5 days, slow but sure and I ate out (on Adkins as much as could be--asked if any sugar, flour, etc and only ate meat and salad with ranch so not too bad for eating what I want).

Thanks

Thanks so much. I did not remember seeing that as part of that thread. I had read it actually twice. My thinking does not seem as straight since I have been on Adkins. I am on day 5 of induction. Hope it all gets better.
