What have you done for YOU lately?
Just wanted to create a thread to share some things we may do for ourselves as a reward or an aide in weightloss.
I noticed my tennis whoes were getting uncomfortable, so I ordered a brand new pair of running shoes that are WAY more than I would normally pay. I am so excited to get them and workout! I also bought myself two new CDs to get me pumped while I do cardio.

I've been checking out different workout dvds from the library. When I find one I like, I buy it. So far I've only purchased the WATP dvds. I'm worth it.

Gosh I want to be pampered. I have always wanted a massage, but I would be too embarassed to get nakey (or partially) in front of some stranger. One day I WON'T EVEN CARE lol.
My ultimate weightloss reward when I reach my goal is to get a tattoo.

Oh, a tattoo of what Mary??
And, I was getting massages even at my high weight (I get a couple a year.... they are great!). They don't care, they have seen soooo many bodies before and your's is just another one as far as they are concerned!
But keep in mind that a European-type massage and a North American-type massage are to TOTALLY different things. I found that out to my horror! In Italy they, um, well, massage a couple of private areas that I prefer NOT to be touched....... even by masseuses (unless of course they are gorgeous yummy male Swedish model-types!)

I have a friend who is a massage therapist, and she feels so bad that heavier women feel so unwilling to have massage. She trained on all sorts of people, men and women, and therapeutic massage is done while you're covered up anyway--except for the areas being worked on. She even used to offer clothed, seated massage at Curves and the women just loved it.
I treat myself by getting a massage once a week, or once every other week. It really helps!

I just feel like I would be burdening a massge therapist with having to look at my fat butt LOL. It's just an insecurity thing of course..Which I hope to overcome. I always feel like people expect me to be ashamed of my body, some of the looks I get if I am dressed up cute. Geez I don't even think I am that fat.
Oh the tattoo...I am getting a japanese cherry blossom tree on my back..I want it to look like this http://modblog.bmezine.com/2006/05/0...om-rib-tattoo/
NOT LIKE THIS http://www.tattoonow.com/tattoos/Flo...oos_17091.html
Becauce this is what it would look like now lol.
I think it would be a good motivator not to put the weight back on.

I think pedicures are a good treat. If you are self-conscious about your body they will only be working with your legs and feet. Plus you get to sit in a massaging chair. So without getting naked, you get a decent massage. I would feel very uncomfortable getting a full body massage, but would love to one day.

Last weekend I bought a size 14 dress...and it fits! It's quite sexy though, I honestly have no idea where I'll wear it!
My reward when I reach my goal weight is to have the tattoo I currently have on my stomach redone/covered. I got my current belly tattoo at the age of 16, since then I've gained LOTS of weight (and lost some last year) so it's very faded and stretched and out of whack.

I bought 5 pairs of shoes last weekend (it was the pre-cutting up of the credit card binge). But I got awesome deals and sales -- I got about $250 worth of shoes for $140. And those include a pair of Nike running shoes, Adidias flip flops, a pair of Skechers sport, a pair of Kswiss (for $30!), and another pair of flip flops. I'm going to miss "ah, I'll worry about it later" shopping.
