Default what are good intervals to take pics of loss?

I'm starting at 197# (5'4") and took pictures of myself then.

What is a good weight to take my next set of photos? I guess what I'm asking is, at this weight, how much will I have to lose to see a difference in the pictures? (Enough of a difference to be motivational.) 10#? 20#?

Thanks!

Since my goal is to lose 100 I am taking them every 25 lbs. I would do whatever you feel would give yourself that little boast.

I'm doing mine about every 15 pounds. You can see mine in my blog just click the progress pics link in my sig. That might give you an idea of the changes. I have 8 more pounds before my next photo shoot lol It helps me see progress AND reminds me to stay on track!

I take pictures every 4 weeks. Period. That way, I see progress as it happens and the positive and negative results of the positive and negative actions I take. ^-~ It isn't always about impressing those with your story... its about learning as you go- what works and what doesn't.

I did not take pictures of me - any. And I am not going to. I have seen one from my job and was devastated I looked like I am 50 years old, and I am not! I am just 33!

Pictures are good tool to convice yourself that you are fat. The first one was from my friends graduation day. Oh my God! I was 2 times big as all the girls on the picture! Pictures are good, thay have a purpose...

We (my friend and I) started off with the intention of taking them monthly. And believe it or not, even 7 pounds made a difference that I could see. Sure, I was in a bathing suit, which made any change more obvious, and I don't think that someone would notice the change if they weren't looking for it. But I noticed, and found it very encouraging.

However, we don't have a lot to lose, and are following a very unstructured plan, which means we are losing slowly. Our next pictures will be taken 6 weeks after the previous set. I'm wondering about changing from a time interval to a # of pounds interval, just so I don't end up with a bunch of photos that look essentially the same.

It is sad yes, but pictures can be apart of being honest with yourself. From the inside, without mirrors and pictures, I can pretend that there isn't a problem- with them I see exactly what I've done, not sheltering myself- and yes, it is devestating. So be it. I will change it. It is all about confronting yourself, seeing change happen, and empowering yourself to keep working.

I made the mistake of not taking starting pictures.
All I have is the pictures that I have taken not so long ago.
