30 Something Weekend Chat: april 14, 15th
Morning all. Hope everyone has a good weekend. I get to work today...yeah (NOT!). At least after this weekend i'll have two weekends off...so that will be nice. DH is out of town looking at houses in ALT and not having much luck. The ones that are in our price range, he said so far are disgusting. He says several of the houses he looked at were so bad, he felt like he needed to shower after leaving them. oh well...he's looking at a few more today. So we shall see. Okay all...off to work...have a good weekend.

Going out of town
Hello! Sorry to hear you are heading to work! UGH!
We are heading out of town to meet my husband's boss and wife. And, of course, out to eat. UGH, again! Will try my best to pick a healthy selection, but still dreading it, not to mention the boss's wife is this tiny thing. Nice. So, off we go! Have a good weekend!

Hello everyone
GG: I sure hope you guys find a house soon. Sounds like fun I only did it once and we have been here 18 years but In a few years we are going to build a home. We want to build and be able to pay for it. That will be our retirement home. LOL Have fun day at work.
Melinda: sorry to hear you gained but it sounds like you are on the right track. Probably just everything moving around is all. Keep your chin up .
Indianagirl33: Well here is my experience with a bosses wife who is a tiny little thing..........Get in good conversation with the boss you will find that she will join in and things will be fine or Join in conversation with the boss and your husband and bosses wife will probably have a conversation also it is actually nice talking to someone different. Anyway it has always worked for me and the wife usually changes her attitude and we end up liking each other.
Everyone Take care

hey alll..i'm back...welcome back mj..morning indiana. Well..work started off insane...two major emergencies in 1.5 hours. One was so sad..its been a while since i've cried over cases, but had a cat that was caught in a house fire. He was so badly burned (including both his eyes), we had to euthanize him. It really broke my heart, I've never had a fire burned animal...ughh the smell is awful and the poor pain the animal had to endure. Its sad, but it was probably the best thing for the boy. But now, we are back on a lull.."knock on wood". I think with taxes due, a lot of ppl are waiting to bring their pets in. So hopefully the day won't drag..but also not be insane. I have 4.5 more hours til closing..so we'll see. I'll check back late.

Good morninga all!
GG you are an amazing person! I am so sorry about the cat, I have no idea how vets can their jobs I know how easy it is to love an animal! I love my yorkie(s). Oh btw, little guy is doing better w/his coughing, they gave him another antibiotic shot on Thursday and a different antibiotic orally, it actually smells really good, I hope it tastes as good as it smells! But he is kid of getting back to his normal self, his normal attitud, and you know Yorkies are little but have a HUGE attitude and HUGRE personalities. He is special!!!!
Indiana are you new? Welcome!!! You will love this group!
Welcome back Melinda! Don't stress too much over the 8 Lbs. I'm learning the hard way, stressing slows down weight loss (at least for me)
Sheila hello! I like your advise about meeting the boss's family! wise!!!
I am going to have a good weeekend NO MATTER WHAT! I tried to book an appointment at Burke Williams Spa near me, unfortunaltey they were booked, guess where I am going during the week??? yeap! Burke Williams here I come! this AM I woke up and gave DS a big hug and a kiss, I am going to try to stay more relaxed aroudn him, that's a huge task.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

SO tired..... 9pm and I've been home for less than an hour after the show. Was up at 5am to get showered & stuff before my partner-in-crime arrived and we high-tailed it to the other city (about 1.5h away). And did I mention that I didn't get to bed until after midnight getting things ready? More tomorrow when I am more coherent.
Stevi - I remember Christi posting about a month ago or so. Pretty sure she's still lurking around and checking in from time to time.

Hi All,
GG, how sad.
Christina, glad the little guy's feeling better!
Happy, Hope you can get into the spa this week! How nice!
Hi Sheila
Indiana, Nice to meet you! Good luck with the boss & wife!
Melinda, Welcome Back girl...missed ya'! Sorry about the weight, but at least now you have a scale and know the truth.
Early Intervention was supposed to come by tomorrow to evaluate Robby, but the woman called and cancelled, she has the flu. She wants to come next Sunday, so I've got to call back. I made the appointment about 3-4 wks. ago, and let me tell you, the improvement I've seen in Robby since then is amazing! I'm half tempted to cancel, but I think I will stick with it, just to make sure.
Have a great evening all!

I feel so welcome here - thanks all
Evening! Thanks for making me feel so welcome. I don't know all of your names yet.... but I will learn! Thank you for your comments back.
Dinner went really well. Boss's wife was nice. Skinny and a vegetarian. Not a whole lot in common, but it was good. We went to an italian restaurant... Biaggi's. Hard not to eat the entire bread basket... but I did refrain.
Sorry to hear about the cat. My brother is a fireman and I have heard sad stories. My brother is a animal lover so he always tries to save them....doesn't always work out. Sorry for your hard day.
Well, off to bed. Thanks again everyone for making me feel so welcome. I'll be back and I will get to know all your names! Oh, and by the way, I'm Stephanie.... failed to mention that before!! Nite!
