"Im going to kick your butt" Oh my heart its breaking :(
Ok my oldest son (5) just said this to his younger brother (2) and I said "what? we don't say that where did you hear that from?"
and he went on to tell me that a boy .. then he changed it to a girl.. said that to him at school....
oh.. i remember being picked on at school and it breaks my heart that he is getting picked on in preschool
I know I know.. its going to happen... but man.. its breaking my heart
ok thats all
I'm sorry. It's hard to watch your kids go through that. I know my son, who is really sensitive gets picked on and I absolutely hate it. The best you can do sometimes is just love them through it.
It may not be that he is being picked on, unless of course, he told you someone was giving him some trouble. Depending on where the kid who said it to him heard it, it could have been said playfully. Just a thought.
Unfortunately, they pick up LOTS of stuff at school! I'll never forget when my sweet little seven year old, at a party when told to eat all of his cake and not just the icing, informed me, "It's a free country and I can do what I want." After I finished swallowing my face in shock, I informed him that it wasn't a free country for him until he was eighteen!

It only get's worse!
My son is 12/7th grade and he is learning the Bill of Rights. Oh Boy...if THAT isn't opening a can of worms. A few weeks ago, on a Sunday morning, we had to "discuss" freedom of religion when he didn't want to go to church. We've also "discussed" freedom of speech (several times! and how it doesn't mean you can back chat, mumble under your breath, and say ugly, disrespectful things to anyone) and the right to assemble (he wanted to be dropped off at the movies). I've just had to make it very clear that THIS house is a "mom"ocracy. He can make the rules when I'm NOT supporting him. KIDS!
If it makes you feel any better...maybe the other kid saw Spongebob recently....I think last week, during spring break Nick was playing the episode where some fish tells spongebob "I'm going to kick your butt".....I'm pretty sure it was last week....maybe the kid saw that episode and was just saying it to be funny????? I have a 5 yr old too and he's SOOO sensative if someone told him that just kidding it would break his heart...which he tells me A LOT "MOMMY!! You broke my heart!!" when something is said a bit harsh or if I say no....LOL
thanks everyone.... this was the first time ive heard himsay anything like this and my heart dropped...
yall are all prob. right... ok this mommy will chill out alittle
