Default Bacon Melt

Recipe Name: Bacon Melt

Ingredients:
2 slices light bread
2 (1 oz.) strips Jennie-O Extra Lean Turkey Bacon
2 ( 1 oz.) slices Kraft Free Singles, American

Preparation:
In a skillet coated with no-cal cooking spray, cook bacon strips on medium heat until crispy and fully cooked (about 5 minutes).
Evenly coat 1 side of each slice of bread using cooking spray, using 10 sprays per slice.
Top the unsprayed side of 1 slice of bread with a slice of cheese. Place cooked bacon strips on top of cheese and cover with second slice of cheese.
Next, top with the other bread slice (with the buttered side facing up). Place sandwich in a skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray and cook over low to medium heat until bread is brown and toasty and cheese is melted.
Use a spatula to press down on sandwich while it cooks.

Is the extra lean turkey bacon allowed on the plan?

I don't think so, but what I posted was the result of a recipe I sent into the LA Chef. So those are the exchanges they sent me.

In the new book, it lists turkey bacon as 2 oz/4 slices as 1 protein.
