Which is also about 4oz (or 1/2c). Since the size of potatoes varies so widely, I go by ounces. I saw that the serving size for the mashed potatoes in the LA cookbook was 1/2c so I just followed that through with that measurement whenever I have potatoes.

Cassi,

You just made my day! I've been measuring out the poatos at 2 ozs. This is after my anal rentetive self weighed a bunch of potatos and decided that I would underestimate and go with 2! I thought that was low, but figured better safe than sorry.

Cassi,
Thanks for that! You are right, spuds vary in size so I noticed that a restaurant potato is two and they are usually huge. Just to be save I had a 1/2 of a small and I think it was about 3 oz. I usually don't eat them at all because I am such a pasta queen that I normally go for that.
