Wink need calories on my valentines present

I hope everyone had a great Valentines day yesterday.

My dh made me his 'courtin' bars' (he used to make them for me all the time when we were dating). So, my diet plan has me writing down all calories consumed yet I cannot find anywhere that would have these bars. Should I just breakdown the ingredients?

I hate to make this post a twofer, but..........does anyone know of any great tasty low cal way for me to get more fiber in my diet? I am suppossed to be getting like 25g a day and I have been averaging maybe 10grams.

Thanks in advance, Ladies!

Yes, with recipes like that, just add up the calories in every ingredient then divide by the number of bars it worked out to. Then you'll know how many calories are in each bar. There are some websites that can do this for you...try www.fitwatch.com, www.calorie-count.com, or www.nutritiondata.com.

As for the fiber, I get most of my fiber from my breakfast cereal (Kashi Go Lean) and these Blueberry Fiber Cake things I buy from Trader Joe's. The fiber cakes are a little bland but they pack a whopping 13g of fiber per serving and are only 80 calories. I've found them to be a little more palatable with NF cream cheese on them. Meg has a recipe for Fiber One Muffins that you could try. You can find it in http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/show...ber+muffins%22.

Apples (4)

Oatmeal (4)

oroweat light whole wheat bread (7 g for 2 slices & 80 calories) or ezekiel bread (3 - 1 slice)

black beans(8) or other beans

flax seeds - (3/TBs) really good source of good oils

veggies veggies and more veggies
