I'm thinking of starting a weekly weigh-in thread -- hope you will join me. Maybe it will make us more accountable!

Okay. Weekends are my nemesis. It seems like I'm never at the house and when I'm out I have such a hard time making good choices. Friday night was a 4 star steak house with my folks. Saturday night was...of all things...pizza delivery. Sunday afternoon my in-laws came to town and took us out to lunch. Did I eat a healthy choice like my mother-in-law? No, she had the grilled fish. DH and I split a burger and loaded cheddar fries which includes fries, melted cheese, bacon bits, and jalapenos. YiKeS!! What in the world was I thinking? So I'm up two pounds. Which means I'm never going to make my Valentines day goal.

I am going to join a yoga class once a week at the beginning of March. So, that's some movement in a positive direction. Anyway, I'd better run. My little person is requesting my attention.

I hope you ladies were more successful last week than I was.

Oops! I accidently posted this on the weekly weigh in thread, so I just copied and pasted it over here. Guess I should read what I'm doing a little closer?? lol

Hi all,

Today (Monday) I ended up having to call in to work and take my daughter to the doctor. She was broke out in a bad rash. The dr. thought it might be strep throat since her throat was red, but she hasn't been complaining of a sore throat. Did a strep culture, and all is fine that way. Don't know what's causing it. We are all thinking an allergy to something, but can't figure out what it might be. I have spent all day (or at least it feels like all day) going over everything she has eaten (nothing new or different), types of soap, laundry detergent, etc. And we can not come up with anything. I don't switch brands of that kind of stuff because I know she has some sensitivity to things. This has got us all stumped. Got her on benadryl now, which is helping the itching, and the rash is looking better already.

The one good thing out of this is I weighed myself on the doctor scales again. Last time, I weighed 211, and today I weigh 208. Surprised me as I figured I would be the same since I really haven't done much on changing my eating, or drinking more water. At least something good came out of all this.

We are supposed to be in for one heck of a snow storm, with 12 inches of snow to hit this area in the next couple days. It was supposed to start at about 1 this afternoon, but so far nothing. In a way, I hope it avoids us, and in another way I hope to get so much snow I can't go to work. lol.

Take care and talk to you all later,

Kim

Hi CJ, I thought that I would show you a little of what I have been knitting! When they see their sweaters they get so excited!! I also went ahead and included a picture of them in their carseats! They love to go riding and when we go from Colorado to Pennsylvania for vacation they enjoy sitting in their seats and watching out the window! Plus it is safer for them than to be loose in the car.

I hope you have a good day and I'll catch you tomorrow.
Karen

How was everyone's Valentine's day? DH took me to my favorite Mexican restauraunt in a town 25 miles from our house. Such a sweetie! We left the baby with Grandma and PawPaw for the evening, so we went home and enjoyed some very rare "alone" time. It was quite nice. Not so good for the dieting but great for the attitude!! Hope yours was great!!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been in this week but it has been a busy one and the week just slipped by! So ... I didn't start a new thread for this new week, instead of changed the date to take us thru the 25th.

Amanda:
WELCOME! Glad to have you join us - will be looking forward to get to know you. You can post any day you want to on the weigh-in thread - it doesn't have to be on Monday.

4me4ben:
Sounds like you have a very nice Valentines dinner! We baby-sat for our friends 5-yr old - we are her "fill-in grandparents" when her real grand parents aren't around (lol) ... but we had fun with her.

Karen:
Happy Belated Birthday! Enjoy those Senior Discounts - we worked hard for them! LOL

Kim:
How's your daughter's rash? Sounds like allergy to me .. have you found out yet? Good job on the 3 lbs loss.

We've been in the deep freeze here for so long but this week it is warming up - we're into the 20's !!!!! Believe me, that's warm compared to below zero!!! Tomorrow it is suppose to be in the 30's! Wow, that should start melting all our snow. I'm ready for Spring! - but I know we have a couple more months to go for that. I can dream can't I?

I'll check back later .. and I promise I will try to post more often this week!

Love, CJ

Hi everyone!

Well, this was a looonnnggg week! I missed work every day this week. The first two days because of Hannah. Her rash is finally gone, and so is the itching. Still have no clue what caused it, though the main thing we all think it is is some kind of allergic reaction. To what, we have no clue.

Then Tues, it started snowing, so I decided I wasn't going in because I didn't want to leave Hannah and Mom. Mom doesn't drive, and if Hannah got worse, I was worried about mom not having a way to get her to the dr.

Wed, I was snowed in. Actually plowed in. Snow up to the bottom of my car windows. I got pictures of Hannah out in the snow. Some of the drifts up to her mid-chest area. She finally decided to crawl on her stomach like a snake because she discovered it wasn't as hard as trying to walk.

Thurs and Fri I had to stay home because I hurt my back and the doctor put me off because he didn't want me lifting, and that is what I do all day long at work now.

This will definatly stink next week when I don't get a paycheck. But I have most of my tax return still, and have money in the bank so I won't go without.

This weekend was 'Mommy/daughter' weekend for Hannah and I. I took her to the civic theatre to see the play there. Then Sunday, we went to Indianapolis and spent the night in a hotel. Today, we went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. I think I must of walked at least 10 miles! At least my legs feel like it.

But, it was worth it. She enjoyed herself. She loved staying at the hotel. There was a fireplace in the lobby, and we had to go and sit in front of it for awhile. Then, the fact we had a chair and foot stool in our room, along with about 6 lamps fastened to the wall really fasinated her. She loved taking a bath that night because the bathroom had a heat lamp in there, and the room was "toasty warm" as she put it. And, finally, the snack machines and ice machine on our floor seemed to be fasinating to her, too. The things that impress kids really tickle me sometimes!

The only draw back was eating out so much the last couple days. But I hope I walked most of it off today.

Unfortunatly, I have to go back to work tomorrow. There are days I wish I could retire now!! lol.

Take care and talk to you all later!

Kim

Hi all... I have been busy and no time to chat. My daughter's birthday party ended up pretty good. It rained which made her mom cry cause it was suppose to be at the park, but it worked out and we went to her Dad's (who thought he didn't need to be there..MEN, but ended up showing up) parents house. She was overwelmed, but it was her 1st birthday so I had to go all out now putting me in the poor house
No weight loss this week, but it has not been good since Vday! Too much junk around I could no longer contain myself and it started a cycle. Back on track somewhat today and I did work out last night. Core secrets. better work on this tummy! I can feel it so that is nice.. i guess
Will weigh on next week and see.... Good luck to everyone!

Checking in real quick here ... it's so cold out that we're going to bed early and cuddle under the covers!

I'm still going to Curves every day and today I started walking at our SportsFlex - today I walked 40 laps = 5 miles! I'm sore.

We went to the Casino last Friday nite and I won a $1,000 jackpot! Then we went again last nite and I did it again - another $1,000 jackpot plus a $500 jackpot! I'm a happy camper!

Hope everyone's week is going good - I'll be back tomorrow!

Love, CJ
