Default Showing.. but how?

This morning I weighed myself, and wasn't very happy, I haven't lost anything since i've joined this site, i've actually gained 2 pounds, but that's besides the point.

So today at school I received four compliments. I'm not going to lie, i'm used to compliments, because I try very hard everyday to look my best, but today the compliments weren't toward my face, hair, or makeup like normal, they were toward my body.

I know.. awesome, who doesn't love compliments? But that's the thing.. like I said earlier, I haven't lost anything, i've actually gained! Does anyone know what's going on?

Have you been exercising? Maybe you've slimmed down a bit and gained muscle. That could also account for the weight gain.

Maybe you have been carrying yourself differently....a bit more pride in your step.

Take the compliments as they will keep on coming.......!

You did not mention what you have been doing sinse you joined this site. If you are working out it is possible that you have toned up and gained muscle weight. Some times it takes time for the scale to catch, be sure to drink plenty of water, that will help loose the water weight which usually comes off first.

Have you taken measurements? You should, those are always nice to reflect upon too!

Like Chris Rock said, Women need food, water, and compliments!

You're probably losing fat and gaining muscle, which equals small weight changes but big appearance and size changes. You're on the right track!!!

I can see why you get so many compliments I had gone down 3 sizes but had only lost about 7 pounds because I had gone back to weight lifting. Are your clothes any looser? Another possibility is that you're eating healthier foods but haven't cut your calories so you're really not losing. Let us know what you've been doing to help evaluate things.

My guess is you're beginning to tone up, and that equals lots of compliments! Remember, the scale isn't the only measuring stick you have. I'm sure you are looking trimmer, and carrying yourself a little taller. Keep it up!
