Default Can I join the club?!?!

Hi there! I've been lurking around this site for some time now but haven't posted much until recently. I find that sometimes I "lose" myself in all the different threads! I found this one and thought it would be a good one to camp out in on a regular basis. I NEED to lose 100 pounds! I gained 100 pounds (yes, you read that right) during my pregnancy. I'm embarrassed to say so, but I did. I started my pregnancy at 185 and the day after I gave birth (don't ask what posessed me to step on a scale at that point) I weight 286. It was horrifying. My daughter just turned 3 years old and I am still weighing in the 230's. It's so depressing! I'd love to get down below 200 again as it was a number I never saw before pregnancy and, once I go below it, I hope to never see it again! My biggest concern and, frankly, excuse has been..."Well, I want to have another baby so I just won't worry about it until after the second one." Well, I found out I was pregnant a few months ago and was so nervous about gaining weight again...SO nervous. Unfortunately, 10 weeks in I miscarried. I am bummed about it and we are still "trying" but I see this as an opportunity now. Why wait? Why not work on it now and if I get pregnant, I get pregnant, you know? I've been holding on to the pregnancy thing as an excuse for too long and now I need to just press forward, full steam ahead until I'm able to get pregnant again and then deal with it at that time. It's crazy how I can come up with an excuse not to lose weight. Just crazy. NO MORE EXCUSES! My life is full of them and I am sick of it!

Thanks for letting me "vent" a little and I look forward to watching ALL of us lose that 100 pounds!

Thanks for all the welcomes! You guys are so kind! I know this is a board with lots and lots of people but sometimes it's easy to feel like an outsider among those who already have formed relationships. You all are so very welcoming, though, and I appreciate it! Yes, the loss was hard but I think I am pretty well over it now. It was a rough couple weeks following the miscarriage but now I am moving on to thinking ahead instead of behind.

Thanks again!

Sorry about your loss! That is terrible, but hopefully you can and will make use of this situation and every situation life gives you. I know alot of women who gained 40-100lbs while pregnant. It's not that uncommon so dn't beat yourself up. You CAN loose the weight! I gained 34lbs with my daughter and now I'm under it by 5lbs. :-)
