Thirsty Thursday Chat - January 25
Hoot mon! It's Rrrrrobbie Burrrrrns Day! Do ye ken? Let's toast the laddie with a wee dram.....of water. We could eat haggis if we're on Phase II. I'll post a recipe, if you like.
It's very, very cold this morning but the day is unfolding as sunny. The stove held overnight again so we are cozy and warm in here. I just may stay indoors all day although I really need to go to get my driver's licence renewed.
So what's happening today at your place?

Haggis?! Blech, no thanks! I will join you in a toast, though, with a wee dram of water.
It's bitter cold here, too, and I was all dressed and prepared to go to Curves when I opened the door to a snow covered world. The roads are a little slick, and that's enough to keep me here at home. I may go over after it warms up a little. I want to go visit Mom & Dad for a little, too. Then the rest of the day will be spent working on those patio cushions. I'll be so glad to finally have them done.
We had a change of plans last night and went out to dinner, where I caved in and had a wonderful Apple Crisp with real ice cream for dessert. I enjoyed every spoonful, but today is pay-back day. I'll be drinking gallons of water and eating salad and veggies to make up for it.

Good morning ladies
Sorry I've been MIA from the daily the past few days. I've just been really busy...today being no exception. I'm already running behind, so I that means breakfast at work. Luckily, they sell turkey bacon and egg white omelettes in the cafe downstairs.
Well, I've gotta get moving. I have 40 portable DVD players to wrap by tomorrow for an event at work! YIKES!
I hope everyone has a terrific Thursday

Morning!
Super quick post here to have you all smack me around some. My evening eating has been RIDICULOUS!!!! Someone just hit me upside the head to make me stop!!!!!!
Soon WTG on 13 pounds down- that is fantastic!!!!
Cottage and Ruth Stay warm girlies!
Schatzers Morning to you!!
Gotta go, no offer letter for DH yet, I am hoping this is all going to work out. I am trying to keep a level head and know that something better will be out there if this doesn't pan out. He has to take some kind of management assessment online today..... so it sounds to me like it isn't 100% in the bag that he has this, although he was offered the position on Friday. Anyone else confused??
Gotta jet- love ya girls!

Morning, all. I'm back at work today...blech!! Skipped the decaf and brewed a pot of fully leaded coffee today. I'll drink extra water to make up for it. Looks like I managed to get rid of the weekend weight gain plus another 0.4...yay. Puts me down to 213.2, leaving 14.2 to lose before St. Patty's Day. I think I can...I think I can...
Stay warm!! We're supposed to top out at about 42º today, but the weekend won't get much above freezing. I'm sooooo ready for spring!!

HELLO everyone! I'm back from Key West and I loathe the cold weather here! I have to figure out how I can go back down there in 6 months.... we left in an ice storm (original flight got cancelled) and came back in the snow. Was 80 and sunny down there every day we were there, though.
Gained a few lbs while I was there.... 8 to be exact. I've lost 5 of them already though, which tells me that getting my water is quite important. Back on track now though. I've got 13 lbs to go to hit my goal weight and I want to do that by my brother's wedding in June. Of course, I'll probably hit my goal in March and then binge until May, and then have to start all over again (like I always do) but as long as I'm at my goal weight by June 23, I'll be happy.
What's going on with all of you girls? I've missed all of you! I'll post a few pics so you all can see what we were up to down in Key West. Those who HAVEN'T been should really consider going as it's SO much fun! (When are you going again, Soon2B?)
Hope everyone has a loooovely day!
Lisa

Good Morning from CA. just had breakfast. DH fixes breakfast and does the dishes every day. ..What a doll.
I am off to see about that new hip and then teaching a firend how to knit a felt hat.
Hope to get up to the Casino to spend DH free $50.00 he got for his birthday from them. They also give you $50.00 on your anniversary...25 for each person...only time I play...when the free money is gone, I cash in...and if any winning on DH Birthday money I bring home for him...good wife that i am...
Hope the sun is shinning in your lifes even if it is not shinning out side...To all of you,
Sis: Glad your seeing the MD today.

to everyone else! I'm just taking a breather from my sewing. I have the sofa and two easy chairs finished, just have to make the chaise lounge cover and then some throw pillows. I'm pretty pleased with how it's turning out, the original cushions were looking pretty worn out. The weather here has been crazy today. First it's snowing like a blizzard, and then the sun comes out, then it's snowing again. What's with that?
Time for a little lunch, then back to the sewing machine. Hang in there, gals, and think positive thoughts.

For some odd reason, all my above post didn't appear, but I sent words of encouragement to each of you! Oh, the wonders of the "cyberworld"!
