I bought them once - and like wchs fears for herself - I ATE THE WHOLE BOX!! I still managed to stay within my daily calorie range but I was eating carrots, lettuce, celery and raw cabbage for the most part!! (Was it worth it? YES! Will I buy another box? Once in a blue moon. Until then I'll just stick with the Dove Dark Chocolate candy bar.)
I buy the Ghiradelli squares that come with 12 (I think) individually wrapped in a little bag at the market. I buy the 60% cacao semi-sweet kind. A serving is 4 wrapped squares for 220 cals. I'm happy with one square a day for 55 cals. And the rest stay wrapped. If it were milk chocolate, I'd probably eat them all, but for some reason, semi-sweet doesn't cause me to lose control.
Well...I went to Wal mart and came home with a box.
I did open one and taste it.. Very good....
I did not eat the whole bar. I wanted to save some for a treat tonight..
CyberGypsy - it's done, time to move on. Next time you'll know to either bypass them, buy them and throw away all but two of them, only buy them when you have someone with you to help eat them or even better you'll be at the point where you know you can handle a whole box in your possession. But bottom line is that the next time you will be prepared one way or the other. It's all a learning experience!
