Default Sugar Problems

hi, I just started SBD yesterday, but already I am craving carrots (dreamed i accidentally ate a bunch and freaked out cuz i wasn't supposed to lol). I want to stick to the diet but I am worried that i won't be able to give up sugar, I know you are supposed use "fake sugar" instead, but I am a "super taster" and can taste the difference and well, I have yet to find a sugar substitute that doesn't make me gag. will I be able to pull off eating small amounts of sugar instead of the sugar substitutes? or will i have to learn to choke it down? any suggestions? (ps, ive tried sweet'n'low, equal, sevia (sp?), and pretty much any other brand you see commercials for). help would be appreciated

I HATE Equal/Nutrasweet with a passion. The only sweetener I can handle is Splenda. it's really not that bad.

From what I can gather, you need to really try and avoid sugar during Phase 1.

Welcoem to The Beach, Kirachan, and thanks for posting your BIO.

Yes, indeed. Phase I is the detox stage so sugar is not allowed. Be sure you eat legumes and dairy and it will help with the cravings.

I totally understand what you're saying. I actually cannot eat sugar substitutes (anything with "fake sugar" will literally make me sick). You would be amazed at the things that contain it (even vitamins...). So I'm really struggling with Phase 1 because I can't eat any of the artificially sweetened things that SBD recommends.
