Default The Holiday...seen it?

Has anyone seen The Holiday? Just wondering because I saw it last night and I was WAY LESS than impressed. The flick did have its redeeming qualities, but it definitely didn't have anything to do with the plot. The only thing that made the fact that I sat through it okay was the fact that I live in a small town and only spent $4.00!

Anyone want to discuss their opinion of it with me?

I saw it last week. I thought it was okay, but then again Kate Winslet is one of my favourite actresses. Jude Law was also really good (and gorgeous!). The plot did drag on, especially because even thought the movie was sweet, it was also fairly predictable. I liked the storyline of Kate Winslet's character Iris and the older gentleman.

I agree with you, lizzie. I just felt that 2 hours was a long time for a rom-com and that it was VERY predictable. The relationship between Iris and Arthur was endearing and really the only part of the movie I stayed for. I do have to admit, though that I'm nothing of an expert at "chick flicks". You'd be SHOCKED at the number of 'em that I haven't seen.

I just thought that this movie was definitely a bit of a snoozer.
