Hello!!! Everyone is welcome to join!! Some of us girls were in challenges together and we all liked each other so much and were so supportive of each other that we wanted to continue that beyond just a turkey or x~mas challenge. Support and friendship is something we all need no matter what the season! So we decided to start a group!

Who can join this group?

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join! We are a very supportive group and we talk about life in general as well as exercise and eating.

What is this group about?

This group is about supporting each other to be healthy and to exercise! We need to remind ourselves that at whatever size we are, we are hot! And we challenge each other to be healthy which means eating right and exercising.

Everyone is welcome to join us! At the beginning of the month we can state our goal for the month whether it is losing a few pounds, changing some bad habits, or just all around maintaining! Come on in! We'd love to have ya!!

Everyone come in! If you are new, give an intro of yourself in this thread:
Hot & Healthy Chick Bio's
It can be brief or long.

In addition, and for everyone else:

1. Leave your starting weight.
2. List what type of exercise you will do daily to achieve your goal.
3. List how you will be watching your food, i.e. low carbs, calorie counting, etc
4. Check back in each day to share your progress of if you exercised, share the food you have eaten, etc.
5. Weekly weigh in. We will weigh in every week to see where we are!!

Good luck everyone!

1. 210 ( I had got down to 208 but am now back up to 210! )

2. I will walk 60 - 100 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I want to get to at least 1800 every month.

3. I will be calorie counting. Most days will be 1200-1700, with maybe two "bad days". I want to average 1550-1650 cals a day

4. I want to try to keep my sat. fat at no more than 10% and 20% coming from poly and mono fats

5. Another goal is to try to eat as many superfoods daily as possible

6. Limit sugar and processed foods!

Great goals Jasmine! Two pounds over the holidays is excellent! You should be proud of yourself with all of those temptations out there.

I am officially one pound heavier but I'm not going to count it and chalk it up to water weight.

This year I want to lose 23 pounds, keep my calories at 1000-1200 (per my doctor), get my cholesterol below 200, and exercise a minimum of 300 minutes per week.

HAPPY NEW YEARS yall!!!!

Do you all do New Years goals/resolutions? I've been thinking about my goals for this year and here are some off the top of my head:

* Reach ONEderland by my 21st birthday (7/29/07).

* Move into my own place and buy a car (which will happen when I recieve my income tax check).

* Get a position outside of food service.

* Save up enough money by March to get my mama that Rottweiler puppy for her birthday (SHHH! Don't tell!).

* Finally start some college courses.

*Take charge of the last aspects of my adult life by paying my own cell phone bill.

* Get out of the 'extra' debt I'm in.

* Get my own computer.

* Finally hatch my Triops.

* Get my sharkfish.

Those are my main ones I suppose. What about you all?

1. get organized, I am so tired of the mail piling up
2. be a good mom
3. run 1200 miles or the equivalent
4. stop self-sabotaging behaviors

my big challenge is clearly social eating. I can eat healthily at all other times without any sacrifice or difficulty, but my social bingeing is getting worse. I believe last night was the worst yet, over 2400 calories of binge from 9 pm to 1 am

Hi Everyone, WOW I love the down to earth and honesty of your goals. I best get down to mine.

1. Try and be calmer and therefore a better wife and mother.
2. Try not to worry so much, let things just resolve themselves.
3. Enjoy planning and going to Dad's 95th birthday, regardless of who can make it.
4. Get out of the house more and into more activities which involve interacting with other people.
5. Get my arm fixed and knee fixed, so I can enjoy riding my bike and excerising properly again.
6. Be thankful to the friends I have met here and our good fortune of last year. And pray we will be healthy, get some important things under control in our lives and just enjoy what we do have.

A. Starting weight 237.5 lbs
B. 1st goal, less 10% = 213.7
C. 2nd goal less 10% = 192.3
D. 3rd goal less 10% = 173.1

Exercise: Walking every second day 45-60 minutes.
Floor exercises 25-30 minutes every day.

Weight Loss: Follow my diet as close as possible, no bad eating in the
evening, drink 8 glasses of water per day. Will weight in once
a week and record it here.

Good luck to everyone, I am excited to get started and see where this takes us all. Great goals ladies. (thanks stopeating, good advice)

OH and my last resolution

Pluck the dang (post kids) chin hairs weekly so I dont let it go and then one day realize I am sporting a goatee. I have a sneaking suspicion that they lay low and then over night all sprout 0.5 inches at once

Well, I've started in. I walked 2.5 miles on the treadmill (45 minutes) this morning and logged onto Fitday and have started tracking the calories and exercise. Fitday is pretty cool -- sure beats having to do all the math myself! I am also doing the "post Christmas the entire house is dirty" cleaning this week. If the temps would just warm up a bit I will be taking the dog for a mile walk. Pretty windy out though!

How is everyone else doing? Please post! I did myself a huge favor and left the remainder of the two fantastic pies that I made at my BIL's yesterday. Guarantee that if they were here, I'd be eating them!
