Default Can't figure out where to ask this.

Hope this is the right place. I have been eating very well for the past 2 days, cut out sugar and pop from my diet. Also been exercising the past 3 days. This is going to be be WAY too much information but here it goes. I've had SUCH bad gas the past couple of days and diarrhea. Is that a change from my foods and/or exercise?? It's not very comfortable.

My guess is that without the added soda and sugar junk, you may be consuming more fiber than before, so your body isn't quite used to it. It will not last forever, I promise It's just your body adjusting to a healthier diet, and once it's adjusted, well, "things" should get flowing normally again.

On a more positive note, now that I've completely cut out fried foods and such, I get diarrhea when I DO eat them, even though I never did when I was eating them all the time. It's amazing how our bodies are able to adjust to new ways of eating (especially for the better!).

Jilly, I'm with you! It's like do-it-yourself Xenical! Our bodies certainly do know what's best if we give them a chance. When I eat lots of fiber, I'm fine!

both food and exercise can be contributing...and you will adjust. food as they say above, exercise because some of the muscles near the intestines "massage" the intestines when you use them and stimulates things along---just ask a runner about running and pooping, guarantee every serious runner has stories. Once your system adjusts to the food, the exercise will help keep you regular.

If the gas is too uncomfortable, try some beano for awhile until you get more adjusted.
