Welcome Miss Lovable...

First off... get that 50 by May out of your head. That is five months away and losing ten pounds a month will not be ten pounds of fat. It will be MAYBE eight pounds of fat (if you really watch what you eat AND bust a gut at the gym) and the rest will be that beautiful muscle mass we start to lose after age 30.

But listen to me.... if you lost 15 pounds of FAT by May, you'd look a lot differently than you do now. You see... it's the journey, girl! Not the destination! It breaks my heart to read people talking about x number of pounds by Christmas when the x is greater than one or two pounds a week.

Losing two pounds of FAT each week is probably the MOST we can do since it requires burning about 7000 calories of fat.

Create the deficit and make the difference up with your training.

I am not trying to clip your wings, but when May comes around, I want to know that you are DIESEL... beautiful! Not weak and hungry and clinically obese because you've traded muscle in for a stupid number on the scale.

Do you know that losing fifteen pounds will drop you two dress sizes if you lose it in FAT?

So welcome aboard... don't distress. Think of this as a fun, fun thing... and adventure... a chance for you to see what you're really made of.

I'll be rooting for you!

Wendy

You ARE on the right track. You're here! LOL I am a firm believer in calorie counting and FitDay is a huge help (although their activity calculator is whacked). Find a plan that you can live with for the rest of your life and you will be teaching US how to do this thing!

And remember, no fifty by May. Instead say two dress sizes by May. That is reasonable, quantifiable, safe, doable, and you will look slammin'! What do you plan to wear???

What's the Fluidity Method? Sounds like a fabric. I'll search online.

I think strapless with a bolero jacket is quite chic, no?

Strapless dress is a strapless dress. Bolero jacket is that little bitty jacket that has 3/4 length sleeves and comes right down to your boobs. So basically it just covers your shoulders and arms so that if you're in a formal setting (like church, graduation, luncheon) you look very classic, tailored, conservative (without looking like a frump. But when the jacket comes off... watch out... ooh la la!

You have a PM.
