First, thanks to all of you who posted about my aunt's passing.

My friend emailed me last night that her MIL passed away in the early evening. This is actually a blessing.

Don's mother was in a full care Alzheimer's unit. She'd gotten to the point where they were having to remind her to swallow. She's in a much better place now.

We went through that with my FIL. While it's sad, it's such a blessing to not be watching them. They don't know you, their surroundings, what time of day let alone year it is, etc.

Wilma, you are now at peace.

I'm not good at expressing myself well during sad times, so here's my virtual physical expression...

I agree - it's painful to watch someone you love slowly turn into someone you don't recognize anymore... my mom went through it with her dad.

She is truly in a better place now and no one would choose to live like that. Sorry for all that you and your family have been going through. Hugs.
