Default Post Thanksgiving Holiday Survival

Hey ladies,

To help me deal with the holidays I'm going back on Phase 1 for a couple of weeks... plan on re-reading the book to learn how to re-integrate carbs back in... going to eat a few more beans than is suggested since I'm training for my half... Anyone with me?

Hey Sarah

I am with you at least for today. After losing 15 1/2 lbs. I went to Wendy's (fast food) and got a breaded chicken sandwich, fries, and a frosty. Yum Yum.

So I told myself if I indulged I would go back onto phase I for a day. So I'm hangin' out at least for the next 24 hours.

I'm definitely back on Phase 1 after a Thanksgiving (and post-Turkey Day) chowdown... I was powerless before an Oreo and caramel cheesecake. Ack! Here's to veggies!

Hello fellow phase one chicks. I am in for two weeks. Would love to see others post menus...it's always helpful for me to have lots of ideas for different foods in phase one.

Hey guys,

I'm jumping on the Phase 1 band wagon starting Monday.

I don't want to get on a scale and see the damage that was done, but I can feel it. It's bad!

So I'm in!

Well I thought I was doing well, but ate corn in my black bean burger for breakfast, I can choose to let it ruin my phase 1 or just keep plugging away...

Gonna grab a salad from the local grocery store salad bar for lunch... MMMmmmm... and either Taco Bake or Taco Soup for dinner tonight

Ruth-sorry didn't mean to be so offensive to your tastebuds...The fries were kind of cold anyway so it really wasn't worth it. Check out the post about the Oreo and caramel cheesecake.

Sarah- don't worry too much about goofing up with the corn. I believe that one mishap is not going to stall your weight loss. I even ate fruit twice on phase 1 and low carb wraps a few times and still lost 11 lbs. South Beach seems to be very forgiving.

amelie77 - A favorite of mine is yellow squash and zucinni covered with tomato sauce (get lowcarb as you can), cheese, pepperoni, onion. It fixes my craving for italian.

I also like taco salad (minus the chips, ofcorase)

Stir-fry is good, used mustard for flavoring and a lowcarb sauce.

Get to know the various types of sqaush. They can be used for a side dish.

Thats all for now-

Two Peas

Default My Monday menu

Here's what I ate today:
Breakfast: Two medium eggs, spinach, and onions scrambled in olive oil, plus low-sodium V8
Snack: L/F mozzerella cheese stick
Lunch: The "South Beach Chopped Salad" (cucumber, tomatoes, celery, spinach, avocado, lime/olive oil/pepper/garlic dressing) with grilled chicken breast pieces
Snack: L/F mozzerella cheese stick
Dinner: Chili (lean ground beef, McCormick Tex/Mex chili mix, pinto beans, diced tomatoes, mushrooms)
Dessert: F/F ricotta with Splenda and pumpkin pie spice (I'm craving pumpkin pie... sigh...)

The salad for lunch was so, so good and filling -- I love that dressing, and the avocado! Tonight I'm going to watch the Bachelor finale with friends, and they're having ice cream and wine... I'll try to get by on cheese and ice water!

TwoPeasInAPod, your post about Wendy's gave me something to look forward to... When I reach my GW! Ha!

Today went well....as far as I know!

B- 2 Eggs scrambled with 2 slices canadian bacon and 1 slice ff sharp cheddar

S- About 5 peanuts

L- South Beach Frozen Meal approved for phase 1 (haven't been grocery shopping since we traveled for the holidays, so this was the fastest thing to pick up on my way to work)

D- 1 serving of Chicken Divan

S- PB Cup, milk

Anyone have any comments about eating the chicken divan and the PB cup in the same day? Is it to much fat?

Glad to see everyone doing well on phase 1. I always start out strong, then lose it around day 4 when someone invites me out to lunch. We have a small local resturant near the school where I work which specializes in serving fried foods. My best choices there are a hamburger no bun or a chicken salad, but it is served on iceburg lettuce which I can hardly eat. I am a dark leaf fan. Hopefully I can work it out this week.

Day 5 of Phase 1 revisited... Did quiche last night for dinner with black beans and salad on the side. This AM I had yogurt and I'm snacking on pistachios right now. Not doing so well on my snacks right now... but going to make a conscious effort today to get them in...

Taco soup for dinner tonight, YAAAY!

Hey ladies

OOOO OOOoooOOO

The sickness is going around. Both my parents got it (see if I ever visit them again SHEESH!) and the BF has got it and everyone in the office has it and I'm fighting as hard as I can not to get it but.... I feel it LOOMING. So I haven't done well I've been hard core comfort fooding

But congrats to those doing well.

I'm hoping tomorrow it'll have passed and then I'll be on the band wagon.

Seriously.

No more fooling around.

100% going to get down to business.

Seriously.

!

I'm with ya, just started back on Phase I today and will do it until I lose at least 15 lbs. So far I have just had 2 cups of coffee with Splenda and an egg white omelette with spinach. Also, I did 40 min of cardio this morning and some weights. Here's to the rest of the day going good
