My family and I have been invited by an American friend and her family to join them on Sunday for a Thanksgiving celebration. Is there anything specific/traditional that I should take along with me? I did ask her if there was anything in particular that she would like me to bring along, such as a food offering, but she said it wasn't necessary. I don't want to go along empty handed, so what would be appropriate? ... Flowers, chocolates, any other suggestions?? The wine goes without saying ... I'll be taking that anyway!

Well if they didn't ask you to bring food... I think flowers would be nice, or chocolate or some other type of dessert would be fine.
My guests brought some games over to play and that was a lot of fun.

I would agree with flowers. I like bringing flowers to someone's house when invited for some occassion.
