Yeah, for Carrie Underwood. Female Vocalist of the Year. I'm so proud for Carrie. She is such a sweetie and a great musical talent. I've known her for yrs. She graduated high school with my oldest step-daughter and used to spend the night with us. Her gown was unbelievably gorgeous. I wish the very best for her and a successful musical career.

I ignored Faith Hill and watched Carrie win. Was that Anthony Fedorov next to her? How cool that they're still such good friends. I picked Carrie to win AI the first time I saw her. I LOVE it that Faith Hill got skunked by her. You know, I've always liked Faith HIll...but that was just a nasty reaction...what a sore loser. Carrie is awesome. My daughter has many, many posters of her on her walls.

I watched some insider CMA show last night that showed Faith Hill's reaction. It also showed that she did the same thing when her own husband, Tim McGraw won a couple yrs. ago. She claims she was being playful. Maybe so, I'll give her the benefit of doubt. . It did say she called Carrie after the show to explain her reaction. I have always loved Faith Hill's music and do believe that she's not a Sore loser.
When Carrie was on AI, every phone in my house was busy for those 2 hrs. voting for her. I am so glad that she finally got her big break. She used to win state talent competitions here and sing at the fairs and such. But, I am so thrilled she's making it in Nashville.
That was Anthony Federov that she with at the awards. She told the reporter, "please, no speculations, we are good friends only".

Was she the one who beat Bo? I don't get to see AI here (do love XFactor,though - Simon's English version) but just happened to be in California visiting my sister when the last few episodes aired. I really wanted Bo to win but remember thinking I'd have liked Carrie if I was more of a country music fan. She seemed really adorable and definitely very talented. Glad she's making good. It's awesome when dreams come true!

Yes, she was the one that beat Bo and I liked him too. But, I'm more a country music fan. I think it was a close race and they both definitely have a lot of talent.

Wow, so much for those who 'dis the American Idol winners!!! Good for Carrie .. I'm not completely surprised at Faith's reaction (I don't think she was joking, though, of course, she says she was), as I've read interviews with her where she's said some slightly snippy things about other people in her life. I guess it's hard when you're *the veteran* and the award usually goes to the veteran ... to see a new chickie walk away with the prize. Faith has had huge success, so she can gracefully move over and let the younger ones enjoy some of the gravy! I"m sure she regrets her actions ... and I feel a little sorry for her, but in her business, the cameras are ALWAYS there!
