Dog-in-Costume Absurdity (warning - pic heavy post)
Yes, these are all actual Halloween costumes you can buy for your dog. Crazy, right?
(that dog looks TERRIFIED...like "Really? You are taking a picture of me in this costume? Really?)
(anyone else thinks that dog looks just about ready to go for the throat?)
(this comes from a whole collection - so if Princess Leia dog is more your style, or Darth Vader dog, you're covered).
And the "Are you freaking kidding me?" award goes to:

I have one of these dogs, and they smile like that all the time! It is their way to show they are happy.
Yes I kinda agree that dog costumes are silly, but I dunno... I didnt buy one for my dog but would if I saw a good one. I did get her a halloween shirt to answer the door with tho.
Some people do go too far... buts its all in good fun. Thanks for sharing, i think these are cute!

Jaz dressed up to go to one of those dog Halloween costume contests at PetSmart a few years ago. She didn't win anything. I think she totally should have! She was a Cowgirl-Cowdog (she's an Australian Cattle Dog). She had chaps and a hat and even a lasso! Anyway, here are a couple of not-great pictures of her in her costume. I never could get her to pose very good...she was too interested in all the other crazy dogs in their costumes. I thought she was super cute though! And, I totally thought she and the Sonny (Shih Tzu in a wig!) & Cher (Doberman Pincher in a wig!) dogs should have won!!!
(And, yes... she is in fact standing on my mom's toes in BOTH shots. LOL)
P.S. Keiko is super cute, as usual!

But her eyes are different than the tiki dog! She actually looks like she's smiling...he actually looks like he's a little crazy.

It would be absurd....
Except I just bought the princess one for my Pit Bull yesterday on Ebay.
$12.00 and it matches my 2 legged daughter's costume.
I love it!
I guess it takes a real dog lover to understand....

I'm a dog lover and not anti-costume. Something about these pictures just struck me as funny...especially the expressions on the dogs faces, more than the costumes themselves.
People dressing up their dogs this year should post pics here! I want to see!

Which princess one? The one the Chihuahua is wearing, or the one the Poodle is wearing?

Now I really want to dress my dog up... but there is no where good around here to get dog costumes and a little late to order off the net. Plus, we are staying home this year, haha
