Default What's your weekly avg $ spent on add'l food (veggies, etc.)?

I'm thinking about using one of the plans for a bit, but I need to know how much more money I will need to spend a week in addition to the food on the plan?

Can anyone give me an estimate?

Thanks,
Christine

That's a really hard question to answer because it all depends on what you buy, the store you buy it from and the brands you buy. I buy yogurt, fruit, frozen veggies, salad fixings, string cheese, milk, and sugar free jello and whipped cream. I buy some store brands and some national brands. I don't know how much it is just for these items but it cost less than what I used to buy!

Thanks for your info.

Are you saying that when you add up the program food with the grocery bill, that total is less than what you were spending on food per week?

Hi,

I'm on Jenny Craig and basically, I spend additional money on fruit, milk, salad, veggies, string cheese, Laughing Cow cheese squares, and maybe graham crackers. I'd say about $20-$25 additional per week. Also, if you decide to join JC, you can save money by not buying their "anytime" bars which are milk supplements. You can just drink milk You also do not have to buy their vitamans...tell them that you have your own.

For me, I spend less than I used to on food now that I am on JC. I know that JC is considered to be expensive, but I joined the Rewards program which gives me 10% off of food for the first 10 weeks, 20% off for weeks 11-20, and 30% off thereafter. My bill tends to be high because I only eat frozen lunches and dinner. The shelf foods are cheaper. Also, I eat a lot of cereal for breakfast so that's cheaper. You can make the program what you want.

Default Not to pricey

I just purchased my first order from diet to your door. From what I understand everything you need comes with this plan. I tried JC and between spending 100 dollars or more a week on food I was spending an additional 25 dollars or so on Veggies and other stuff.
