Time to start next weeks challenge!! Who's all in??
Challenge starts each Monday and ends on Sunday. And ANYONE is welcome to join.
Each week you choose something health-related that you really have a hard time doing, and you do it for the week. Say for instance, you really want to cut down on sugar and you know you can do that for at least a few days a week. You can choose how many days such as 3 or 4, up to all 7 ....(but no less than 3, please) and then commit yourself to it.
AND....it doesn't have to be all in a row, either! You may decide to not eat sugar for 4 days. So on Monday you have no sugar, but on Tuesday you can have some, on Wednesday none, then Thursday...(you get the idea) Just try to complete the amount of days you committed yourself to.
You may choose limiting calories, getting in more exercise, drinking more water, eating less processed foods, taking a vitamin, journaling, counting carbs... whatever your need is - go for it! The choices are limitless!
So who is in for this week?? Please, come join us and make this a great week!
I don't have a treadmill anymore, but I am going to write down my walking for the week. Keep a tally and hope for the best. My first baby step back to the right direction.
I haven't weighed for a few weeks and decided to do so today. Guess what? With all my eating I thought I would gain LOTS. Well, the exercise of moving must have helped as I gained 1 pound ONLY. I am thrilled and will get it going in the other direction now!!
I Would Like To Have A Sugar Free Week. I Fell Off The Bandwagon Several Weeks Ago ,but Am Going To Meet My Sister For The Very First Time And Would Like To Lose 20#.
today is day 2 and I have already had 3 bottles so...so far so good. I drank 5 yesterday and only had 2 diet cokes so I am proud of that. I guess I didn't specify a number of days I am aiming for...going for 6 days of drinking 4 bottles of water. For some reason it seems like on the weekend I feel like I am drowing and am full of water. But I do drink some. As long as I am exercising I am getting water.
Marti...WTG
Hope everyone else is having a good OP/Challenge day!
Third day here and I'm doing so far so good! I decided (w/James suggestion of coarse) to not go by miles, to go by time.
So I've been doing 30mins. on the treadmill, the fatburn program. Which is a speed of 3 and incline of 5, in intervals. I walked 1.53 miles this morning.
Also I do this before work and after. So I've been doing a total of an hour on that thing!!
What's nice is James is also doing this. So we encourage each other to get on there and walk. Beats sitting watching tv for half an hour not burning calories.
Baby steps I tell ya!!
Keep up the great work girls.
Cristi, that is a lot of water! You're doing fantastic!! You hair and skin will love you for it!
Sue, great job on the mile outdoors!! I should be doing that too, but not sure why I haven't really. (I would walk at work on lunch break but not far or very long)
Norma,Hope your ankle is doing well enough for you to get in some time walking.
Shosone, How are you doing on the sugar?? Come back and keep us posted!!
This is day four and so far so good. I just finished my second bottle of water and will grab another while watching Jeopardy and then the next before dinner. Going to try and get a 5th one with dinner, we'll see. Didn't get an exercise in today or yesterday though and I am bummed about that. I was going to go today since I missed yesterday. By the time I finshed things today it was after one when I sat down at the computer and I am pooped. So will have to make up the exercise tomorrow and on the weekend.
JANE, SHOSONE & NORMA...how are you ladies coming along?
The only walk I got in today was walking Mom's little Baby. A "huge" 5 pound black pom. She and I walked for quite awhile, but it wasn't more than a stroll pace. Not a good exercise week, but better than last week. And next week will be better than this one.
