Southern California--warm and sunny and warm and sunny! Actually, it is starting to cool down--lows in the mid 60's which is REALLY cold for us desert rats! I think the highs are in the low 90's. That might sound a bit hot for some of you, but let me tell you, 90 is heaven compared to the summer temps of 120!
Sunny and warm here in Fl. A little less humid than normal.
Gayle-I've been so busy at school and when I'm at home, I'm trying to get back into running again. I haven't been on the computer as much.
Actually, it's getting late and I need to fly! I am thinking about not going in as early anymore. Not sure yet. Anyway, we are going out after school for a co-worker's bday today. Going Mexican. I'm sure it won't be WW friendly, but I'll give it a try anyway.
The last few days we have had perfect fall weather...sunny and warm, but today the rain is supposed to start and they are even calling for some snow tomorrow night!
Aunt Hazel is doing better, but will be in the hospital a couple more days. I'm thankful that they aren't going to rush to discharge her. I was so afraid that they would try to send her home while she was still short of breath, but sounds like that won't be the case. I hate that she's still not feeling well enough to go home, but at the same time I'm thankful for the break so I can be at home and catch up on some things around here too.
I checked the scales this morning and I'm up a bit to 146, so I guess I haven't done too much damage with the hospital food and fast food.
DD is starting to look at colleges (she's a junior in high school). This morning, driving to school, the temp was cool--about 58 degrees. She was all bundled up and saying how cold it was. I suggested she look in warm climates for colleges! I can just see her in snow--NOT! But her counselor is telling her that the best schools (she wants to go into music education) are on the east coast or midwest. I'm thinking she ought to stay down south--Texas, Arizona, etc. One she is interested in is in Ohio.....I don't think she'd survive the winters! LOL BTW, I was born and raised in SLC, Utah--so I know cold, snowy winters!
Glad to hear Aunt Hazel is doing better and that you haven't sabotaged your diet too much Suzy!
I wish this poll had the muiltiple options cause its chilly for florida but really loving this fall breeze. I call it " October breeze"
Lynn - winter is amazing
suzy- glad to hear aunt hazel is recoving.
alli- I am a sophmore and I am a bit pendantic !! I think colleges are my obsession! Only I love the cold. I hate the florda heat. I am planning for college in chicago!
Nine- You sound like something is going on! welcome. feel free to evnt anytime hah.

Janice, SO HAPPY YOUR BACK! How is WW's going??
Suzy, glad Auntie is better! You did great in the weight department for eating fast food and hospital stuff! Will be so happy when you can be here full time again!
Shelley, you are a busy little bee! How did you do at the mex restraunt? Nothing to low cal I'm sure!! I love mex, but it seems like they fry everything! I usually ask for my taco shells plain, then everyone looks at me like I'm crazy. LOL!
Vouge, one Winter in Chicago and you may decide Florida isn't that bad! LOL!
Allison, I'm right there, beside your daughter on the cold! I am dreading Winter!
It is chilly here! COLD mornings, warming in the afternoon. We have a prediction of snow showers tonight. I hope not! Next week is to be in the 70's again...go figure! when it turns to Fall, I just want to hibernate in my cozy warm house!
Welcome NineFan! I'm an Elliott Sadler fan...win or lose, I'll follow anyone who drives a car that's painted like a giant bag of M&M's!
Gayle ~ I'll be glad to get back here full time again too! It looks like Saturday is going to be discharge day. Aunt Hazel started some PT yesterday (walking up and down the halls). Today she is off the oxygen and has lost a total of 6 pounds (water weight). She had gained a total of 12 pounds in the past two weeks, so she has more to go, but it's coming off and she's feeling much better!
Janice ~ I'm glad you're back!
Shelley ~ I'm glad to hear that you are able to do a little running again. That must make you really happy!
Gayle, have you or DH ever been on a "ride-along?" My DH did it with some friends at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and they all got hooked. They started out racing vintage Mustangs (FAST vintage Mustangs!). Ours was a 1966. Then it progressed--a couple got Corvettes, one Lola, one Porsche and a few got old stock cars. Then we all had to get motor homes so the families could lounge around while the hubbies raced. Then we all figured out how much we spent!!! Sold our Mustang, still looking for a buyer on the stock car.
DH went to Fontana to watch a NASCAR race and hated it. He prefers watching it on TV because he likes the commentary. He watches EVERY weekend. It gets a bit old for me--but he does laundry while watching! LOL Also, he TiVo's it so he can fast forward through all the commercials.
Cheryl, Cheryl....once you start looking at those hunks with large engines...you'll be a race fan too!!! LOL!
Suzy, had to giggle over your MM car comment...not sure what that says for me...I like Mark Martin and the Viagra car!!! Sadler seems like such a nice person too!
Allison, we had a period when hubby decided to race locally...ran out of money before we could start the season! Sooooooo, now we are just back to watching on TV. I agree with hubby, it is better to WATCH the race on TV, but it is a blast to be involved in all the excitement track side!
All of you racing groupies: have you noticed how the racers do not seem to age well? Must be from all the stress.
Cheryl.....I bet before it is over with....we sway you to the dark side! When I first involved with racing, I had no clue what it meant when someone got the pole. It is the guy who is in 1st place after qualifying.
