I agree with jen68. It is all a matter of reading labels. I get Gardenburger veggie burgers that are 1 point and boca burgers that are 1 point. Beans are also a good source of protein. It really is just a matter of looking at products and doing research to find low-fat veggie dishes. Vegetarian Times is a great magazine to get for veggie ideas. I also agree with Leaf that it is best to eat everything in moderation. Because, regardless if you eat breads, pastas, or meat, any extra points or calories = weight gain, no matter if you ate to many calories or points from peaches or bacon. It is all the same. It IS possible to lose weight on a vegetarian diet. In fact, I believe it is easier. I began at 185 pounds and I have reached goal at 134 pounds. I am a lacto/ovo vegetarian. It is all in your attitude and how much time and effort you want to devote to doing the research and preparing and purchasing the right foods to be a dieting vegetarian. : )
