Default Equivalent snack for LA bars

Bonjour Everyone,

I must confess that I have been reading all your messages for 3 months now, I think it's a great website and everyone seem so helpful and supportive.

Let me tell you very very quickly about myself.

My name is Soha, I'm 22.
Born and brought up in Paris (France) now living in Columbia, Missouri. (for 1 year now)

I have always been overweight.......nothing new.........

lots and lots of up and down in my weight loss process.....weight has ALWAYS been an issue for me.

At the age of 18 (in 2002), and 264 Lb , I got a gastric bypass , I lost almsot 100 Lb by 2004. (of course with some yoyo too)

BUT BUT BUT

I moved to USA 1 year ago and gained 45 LB in this time period....HOW? hummmmm "AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE "??? Maybe.........
lol lol

I tried Atkins whihc was successful for a very short period of time.

Started LA Weight Loss 1 month and a half ago, I lost 8 lb so far.....not bad...
hopefully I could keep it up this way.No doubt it is slow weight loss but hopefully it will be better.

Sorry about this long boring email but i thought before I ask my questions and comments I should tell you a little about myself.

Once again, Great website, great people, great support!

See ya around........All the best to all and to myself !

Thanks for reading this message of mine.

Soha

PS : Sorry about the english mistakes that i might have made.....

PSS : oohhpppss SORRY i forgot to ask my question....

I read a lot about the equivalent of LA bars, the Kashi GOLean etc...Pria etc....
But i would like to know what else would work to replace the bar? What kind of snack? What is more important the ingredient of the bars or the calories count? Any thing under 150 kcal would be fine or not?
COuld anyone tell me about that, please?

Welcome Soha-
What brought you to America? The 2 lite bars count as 1 starch and 1/2 protein. They mostly range from 160 cals to 180 cals. So I would say anything in those food groups in that calorie range will get you what you need.
Your gain is probably the American way of life. Just ask Rebecca who is from Brazil.
Anyway jump in and join us, we'd love to get to know you better.
