Motivation
Here recently I think i've fallen out of the loop. They switched me to gold plan 2 weeks ago and i'm just really not into it anymore. I'm so tired of the same foods over and over and over again.
Chicken salad this.
Yogurt that.
Egg sandwich this.
They're the easiest things to find, but the most boring to eat.
My weight has hovered between 180 - 177 and i've just lost my motivation completely. I figured you girls would have some kind words to get me back on track. My weight-loss is no big deal to my family anymore. My sister is pregnant so her weight gain is the talk of the town. lol. I'm hoping i'll soon get back on track, and start following the plan by the book again, but its so hard to get in the loop when noone is in the loop with you.
I'd appriciate some advice from you ladies, its a rough time for me right now.
<3 to all.

Cassy,
Hang in there, girl. We all have gone through this, and some of us are in the rut now. Maybe you can look through the summer amesty and daily menus threads for some info?
YOU CAN DO THIS, AND WE ARE HERE FOR YOU.
Come out and play (and post) more, lurk less. You may find the motivation you are looking for in your own words!

Cassy - I collect cookbooks and recipes. I have over a hundred cookbooks (I've been a caterer for 20 years) and I'd be glad to put together a few recipes for you if you'll give me an idea of what type of foods you like. I also just purchased (on ebay) the LA cookbook and it looks like it has some great recipes in it.
I'm new at this particular plan, but it is VERY similar to the way of eating I grew up with because both parents were diabetics. So I learned how to make recipes "diet" friendly (if at all possible).
Like I said, I'm new to LAWL, but each week I try to include a "mexican" meal, a beef meal, and a seafood/fish meal. I realize not everyone loves to cook like I do, but I love to share tips, and fix quick meals (I have to make breakfast, lunch and dinner for dh before he leaves for work each day!).
If I can help, let me know!
We ARE all here for you!

Cassy,
I am exactly where you are. Have been doing LAWL for 12 weeks now--stalled in the 180's--finally broke through that am at 177 --from 204. But I am so sick of lettuce, chicken, fish, yogurt.
So I'm rebelling a bit. I have pretty much been POP, and I can't explain why I even started losing a little again. I wasn't cheating in the 180's. Did TO and that didn't help.
So I'm adding 1 starch a day when I feel like it. Not every day, but not stressing over not being POP. What I'm doing on this diet is a heck of a lot better than what I was doing before. I'm also trying to just eat when I'm hungry instead of stressing so much over "am I getting all 3 vegs in??"
Good luck and God bless--let's just keep on keepin on!!
