Morning Ladies!

Doing this from memory here, so pls forgive me..............

I think it was mostly all about my new bed so I think I can do this for everybody......

Yes our new bed is fabulous! We got a Luxury Firm Mattress, kind of the "Just Right" bed like in the 3 little bears? lol. (except not the baby bears bed for sure! lol) We did get extra side supports in it (we are side sleepers) and had the box spring built up with extra support so it will last us a long time.......

TY all for your support. I think I did good at Mac. Grill too. Infact I haven't even touched the other half of my dinner. Saving it I think. lolll.

Yesterday (Friday) I wasn't as good of a girl, but I know there is always today. lollllllll

Yes I am so happy again yesterday I woke up with NO back pain!!!!!

We cannot find two of the kittens, I am guessing someone has taken two of them in, or at least I hope.........

Yes I think its quite a deal my husband has with the owners AND when he went over yesterday (Fri.) the manager said she was going to talk to the owners about putting my husband on retainer!!!!!!!!!! I could handle having $200 off a month rent for him doing computer work for them! (not sure if they will retain him for that much but its not like they are paying him out of their pockets, so who knows? Anything off is better than none!) Not like it's far! He can walk to the office! I know they have other locations, but I guess this one is the primary one.

Well its supposed to rain with a chance of thunderstorms today and then its supposed to start cooling off on Sunday - Monday. I hope so...........OHHH speaking of the heat........the office manager of the complex also wants to see our utility bill, she says its too high. Which it is! We have talked to the maintenance man and the utility co. before and they both say its "normal" but we don't think so and neither does the office manager. We pay around $150 - 200 a month on utilities. That is Water, Sewage, Trash, and Electricity. We have a small two bedroom upstairs apt. Now granted we have been having our air on with this heat, but we have never paid this much for utilities in an apt. before! But we figured to move out of this place, we'd be paying more on rent, less on utilities, so it about evens out and now since hub is doing work for the owners, I'd much rather stay here. So maybe they will look into the utility bill.

I know my in-laws pay the same or sometimes less thatn we do and they have a 3 bedroom house and they use their air a lot too.

So we'll see.

Well I'm sorry I didn't do "Individuals" but its hard for me to remember when we start a new thread! lol............................I tried to remember the best I could!!!!!!!!

Have a Great Day!

I'm off to go enjoy my new bed and watch Johnny Depp

Smile

Good Saturday morning, ladies,

Robin - my visit with Ruth was lots of fun. She's a sweet lady with a bubbly personality, and was an ideal house guest. YAY for having a plan that works. Is this something new? Hope you got to sneak out early from work yesterday.

Sassy - aww, I bet the 2 kittens have found a new home. Wow, that would be great, to have your DH on retainer. What was Johnny Depp doing in your bed, lol?? Btw, a couple of years ago, Angie sent the Jaded Ladies a magnet with the same quote that you have in your signature. It's one of my favorites.

Hello to Marti, MaryKate, Angie, Cristina, Norma, Julie, Sue, all other Jaded Ladies, and anyone else reading this.

I'm going to make a pot of chili in a little while, and I need to catch up on some paperwork. The whole house needs dusted, and the bathrooms need cleaned. Plus I want to wash and hang out the sheets, if it doesn't rain.

What're your plans for the day?

Good Morning Chickadee's!!

Not a lot going on this weekend. James wants me to go pick blackberries for jam and pies'. Going to have to find a clean nondusty area to pick them.

Robin--Oh I didn't consider that a rude question at all. Since it's a interesting spelling I wasn't sure if you knew that she was my daughter or maybe a pet or what. It's a french sounding name and it rhymes w/ Dijonaise. Just get rid of "Di" and the "se" and there is her name: Jhanai

Sue--You are so inspiring me!! You have a great outlook and it's contagious!! I have a new notebook that I plan on writing out my menu and my workouts in. And I AM going to make a difference on my scale soon. I would LOVE to lose 1lbs a week until Christmas. That would be a total of.....hmmm....don't have my calendar around but enough to see a difference. Keep up the great work!

Sassy--Where about's do you live if you don't mind me asking. (And if you don't want to answer, thats ok!) I would love to have a litte rain here. It's been in the 90's still. Beautiful weather, just too hot and muggy. Doesn't do a thing for me to get motivated!! Of coarse, once it starts raining I will be sitting here complaining about all the rain!! (Oregon is just a rainy state)

Jane--James made a pot of chili the other day. And it's so good. But I think 3days of eating only chili.....I need something else!! Been eating 1/2 a cup of chili for lunch everyday. (He makes such a big pot for only the 2 of us) I need to get it in the freezer before it goes bad. So glad that you and Ruth had a great time together!! What a wonderful thing to be able to meet someone from these boards!!

Hello to the rest of you gals out there. Come in and say hi!!

Well I have some house cleaning to do myself. Gotta febreeze the furniture. Love how fresh everything smells once I do that.

Take care and I'll chat later on if I have time!

Hi Ladies!

Jane -- I hope they found good homes, that is what I'm going to keep thinking anyway! I ended up watching Johnny on the couch so he didn't get to "Try out" my new bed! lollllllllllllll Yes I love that quote too..........

Marti -- I live in Cincinnati, OH, or close to it. Usually people have heard of it so that is what I refer too........... I hear ya. When its hot and muggy, I don't feel up to doing anything either!!!!

Well better go and get ready for work. We have to leave early and drop off our old mattress @ the in-laws.

Have a Great Day!

Marti - my Mary is a big fan of Febreeze, too... I gotta try it! Her house is always so clean, and I don't know how she does it with those 3 kids!

Sassy - well, ok, if you're sure Johnny wasn't overstepping his boundries with a married lady, lol, I guess it's ok.

It looks like rain here. We don't need anymore, so I hope it goes somewhere else - up to Sue's, lol. I've been on the computer a lot today to keep myself out of the kitchen. Works, too! I found some very motivating threads and thoughts while surfing around. Our very own challenge thread is best, though.

Marti-This weather is horrible and I can't wait for our nice cooler weather to come back again! It's so hard to be motivated in this kind of weather!

Good Evening Ladies!!

I just got back from grocery shopping and was trying to choose wisely. Wanting to make a big impact by the end of the month. I'm aiming for a 3lbs loss!

Bought lots of veggies. And some fish and chicken breast. Need to eat clean if possible. Heck...I know it's possible, just gotta do it!

Sassy--Cincinnati OH is it? I've never been there. I've been through OH during my travels back east but I don't believe I went through Cincinnati. Hope you have a good work day.

Jane--I'm needing to stay out of the kitchen more myself. I tend to be thinking more and more of food. Meals, what we should have and how to prepare them. Since when has food beena huge part of my thinking???? Time to clean up my scrapbooking area and keep my mind and hands busy. How did the chili turn out?? (<------- did you see that??? thinking about food and it's not even mine!)

Michelle--It's HOT HOT HOT out!!! It's in the high 90's down here! How are you surviving it?? I'm all cooped up in the dark house w/the A/C on. Not the way I want to spend the day. I LOVE the photo of your girls!! Very beautiful!

Ok...I'm off to make a salad and a garden burger. You all have a great night!

Hiya again... Neal's watching an old Columbo show that I already saw, so here I am again.

Michelle - about the game, well, I don't care if the gals want to rearrange the letters. That's what they're doing - changing one and then rearranging them all. But you can do it your way when you post, and just change one without rearranging any. I'll mention in the rules that it's ok to rearrange, so it will be clearer. Btw, I love your avatar! Two beauties!

Marti - I used to eat those garden burgers, and sort of forgot about them! The one I liked best had a pizza, or Italian flavor to it. Basil or something... The chili turned out really good! Usually, I make it a day ahead, but it still tasted good. I used some diced tomatoes, which were yummy.

See ya tomorrow.

Hi ladies, Didn't get a chance to stop in earlier. We met up with 2 of DH's sis' and their DH's this morning. Ate out then went to the new house. When we came home I was going to do some house work, but sat in the recliner and promptly fell asleep. I don't usually do that. After dinner I did get in a 2 mile walk. I didn't over-do much food wise today, just a small piece of cake/pastry, but that was in place of lunch, so not bad. I ordered a veggie omelet, toast and turkey sausage for breakfast and couldn't eat it all. Yay!
Then when dinner rolled around I was happy with a turkey on wheat. Had a banana for my snack...so I know I didn't hit all the veggies and fruit I needed, but tomorrow is veggie soup...so I will have extras.
I continue to feel so good...and hope it lasts. Have a Dr. appt. Wed. for my yearly as does DH.

Jane- Speaking of games..didn't I see a new vending game? I was going to see what that was and it was gone. No need to send me your rain. We got a heck of alot of it in the night last night. It was less warm here today, but still humid. I walked at 8 p.m. and my clothes were soaked when I got home.

Marti- Good luck on the eating. If I can do this anyone can...I have so little will power. I just told DH today that my fear is that I won't lose any weight and I feel like I am eating as little as I can. So...I guess that will mean I am still not moving enough!

Sassy- We are very familiar with your area. I even have cousins over there and some neighbors just left here for Cincy. Do you ever go to the riverboat casinos?

Michelle- Hope you get a break with the weather soon. I hate the heat, but I don't like winter much either. Can't we please just have Spring and Fall?

Robin- Where are you? and Cristina, I miss you. Hope you are well. Angie- I am starting to get worried about you missy! Norma, Jules, Mary Kate, Alex...did we chase you off?

Wolfena...stop by.

Okay ladies...nite-nite.

Sue -- I love the Spring time; it's my favorite season I would love year round!

Marti -- Atleast you have AC! There was something wrong with ours shortly after we purchased it, so we took it back and never got another one. We are in a townhouse so it gets pretty warm!

Hello You Awesome Jaded Ladies:
No I didn't die, I just was feeling depressed and down and I didn't want to be a drag to all you beautiful, perky people. I looked in and read but I didn't post. I hit 10lbs down today but I didn't change my ticker. I want to wait for my Thursday weigh in. I'm still having trouble with sticking with the exercise. I can't seem to get the right mindset. Any ideas?

Good morning, ladies,

Sue - I bet your doctor will be proud of what you're doing for your health. The game was too confusing so I deleted it before it got out of hand. But I have a new thread asking What will you toss when you make goal, so be sure and post on that.

Michelle - yikes, hon, I wish you had an AC in this kind of heat. Is the photo of your DDs? At first I thought one of them was you, but they both look so young. Not that you're OLD, but you know what I mean.

Norma - I left a message for you in the challenge thread. Please don't stay away when you're feeling down. We can help cheer you, and also let you know that we aren't always "up" ourselves. I have days when I'm sad or not feeling well, and coming here always makes me feel better.

Since it's Sunday, the kids and grandkids will be here at some point. I don't have big Sunday dinners every Sunday anymore, but they do still come to visit.

It's humid but breezy outside, so I might get some weeding done. That's a never-ending job in the summer. Do any of you know what lantana is? Mine is growing like crazy, lol, and I love the colors of the blooms.

Have a good one,

Just a quicky....want to say hello while I can. James is messing w/the computer so I have just a quick moment. Plus when he's downloading things......it's slower than dial up and I get SO impatient!!

He needs it now so I better get. If I get a chance, I'll pop back in later.

Hugs to all!!

Hello again gals!

Jane--How was the evening w/the kids and grandkids?? I went to see my sister. She's finally in her home. Beautiful home. But the stress she went through to have it built, I don't think I'd want to go through that at all.

Sue--I've started shrinking my portions. I plan on not only weighing myself, but taking my measurements. I want to see results somewhere! If not on the scale, then the tape. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can make a difference by Christmas. hmmm....maybe give myself a Christmas Challenge.

Norma--I read your post in the challenge thread. You should feel proud of what you're accomplishing! 10lbs is no small thing. If concentrating on food right now is what you need, just continue w/that for now. Exercise can come in later. It's obviously working for you. And if you want to exercise, as Jane said....maybe cut it down to 3days a week. And maybe start out w/only 15mins. those days. No pressures and we're not going to look down on you if you don't get all the days in. Believe me....I've had many weeks and accomplishing anything. We're here for you!! No such thing as sending you to Jaded Ladies Jail......no matter who Jane may know!

Michelle--Oh goodness!! You must be sweatin' like crazy!! Are you on the top or bottom?? Oh wait..town house....that's not the same as apartment is it?? I hope you get an A/C soon.

Well I need to get some things done, so I better get going. I started the challenge thread so it's ready for all you gals on the East Coast. I'm still sleeping while you are all up and at them!

Take care!!
