In the 260s! Getting closer to the 100 mark.
I just have to say that I about cried this morning when I weighed.
I weighed nearly 300 lbs when I was 14 years old. At the age of 16, I decided to lose weight so I starved myself and exercised 2 hours every day. I got down to 260. I couldn't maintain that lifestyle, so I stopped and ended up going back to where I was at age 14. I maintained that weight (~296) until I was about 20. I then gained up to 364 at the age of 23. Ever since the age of 23, I decided I couldn't stay content with not monitoring my weight and although I struggled, I started having successful losses a little over 2 years ago and all though I've gone through periods of losing/maintaining/struggling to lose, I'm finally back to the point I was 15 years ago. In 5 more lbs, I will have lost 100 lbs total. In 10 more lbs, I will see a number that well I never remember seeing but I imagine was somewhere around age 12.
I know a lot of women would be very frustrated at weighing 269, but let me tell you, I am extremely happy about it.

Total Awesome !!!!! Three cheers!!! Keep it up.
I know how frustrating it is and offer you my heart felt support. I have dieted almost my entire life -- starting with trying to loose 10 lbs at age 13, now at age 50 I need to loose over 100 lbs. My max weight at one point was 310, I had lost over a 100 about 2 years ago and gained it all and more back, but this year I started again in May, now I'm at 258.5 (going for 140 lbs. in time)
This time it's no longer a diet - its a way of life.

Nelie -
I'm so happy for you! Congrats on your achievement. I'm so impressed that you are really focused on health and healthful eating, not just weight loss. You also always take time to answer people's food-related questions and it's obvious you know a lot about nutrition. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and great example with us!!

Nelie, your post is exactly the inspiration I need right now. I'm about 3 1/2 weeks into my millionth attempt at weight loss, and my biggest frustration is just the number of pounds I need to lose overall. I break it up into mini-goals, I take one day at a time, one moment at a time, but I can't escape the stress of thinking about how many pounds I need to lose. I started at 275 and now I'm 258, and I've spent so much time feeling sorry for myself and comparing myself to friends who say "Oh, I need to lose this last 10 pounds" or "I need to lose 20 or 30." In my head, I know there are people who would love to weigh what I weigh and have only 93 pounds to go to reach goal weight, but I get so caught up in my own problems that I forget to think positively about my own situation.
You've done such an amazing job to get where you are today, and I hope you know how incredibly inspiring you are!
