Thumbs up My First 5K

Ran my first 5K race last nite in 39 minutes and 23 seconds.
(388th place out of 402 runners). Now I've been looking up other races to do. LOL
The top finisher last night ran the 5K in slightly under 15 minutes!!!!!!!!!!! YIKES! That is FAST!
Anyway, was just popping in for a quick update. Now off to read!

Wow, that's such a great accomplishment!! I've set a goal to run a 5K next September. If all goes well, I'll be at my goal weight and will actually have been doing some running in the previous months --haha! I don't run yet, but every time I've lost a bit of weight and become more fit, I've started running and enjoyed it. My husband's a hardcore runner, and I told him about this goal so he's excited about it and I don't want to let him down. He's fast, though, so I don't think we'll be running it together!!

Thanks everyone! I was so pleased to finish under 40 minutes! Now I want to get under 35 minutes
The next race I want to do the 4 mile Wo-Zhaw-Wa Fun Run in Wisconsin Dells. That is September 16.
Then in November there is the Berby Derby, another 5K. (I think there is a 5K in December as well. brrrrrrr!)

Haven't any plan to do any 10K's.......yet.
