Default Help...Please.

Hey guys, I need some help, big time. As you know 2 weeks ago I went on vacation and, of course, didn't follow the plan all week. I didn't eat regularly and when I did, it was less than I should have (there was a lot going on).

Anyway, now 2 weeks post vacation I'm up FIVE pounds. I'm devistated. I've been eating on plan, but it just seems to keep going up. What am I doing wrong?

I'm going to do TO today and tomorrow in hopes that that will get me back on track. I'm just so depressed. I've worked so darned hard and now this...I've been in tears since last night's WI.

Wow Joan, that is weird. I would certainly do TO, and also hit the lemon water. Good luck!

Joan - When I went on vacation for a week, I came back having gained 6 lbs. even though we did a ton of walking, and I did watch what I ate. I did TO the first day back, and then just followed the plan. Within a week and a half, it was all gone. Hang in there! Even 5 pounds can't take away the other 40. Just do TO to get focused and go from there. We're all here for you!

Joan--sorry you are down right now. I believe it could be any number of things causing your scale to be up right now--but I also believe it's TEMPORARY. You are eating right and the weight will come off. I just think sometimes the body hangs on to stuff unnecessarily (I have to believe that or I will go crazy). Hang in there and keep doing what you are doing. Except crying--it's not worth your mental state.

10 days of vacation gave me almost 6 pounds of weight gain. 8 days later, I was back to my pre-vacation weight. Don't fret--this too shall pass (it's probably a lot of water!).

Thanks Chickies. I appreciate the support. I'm hoping the TO will do the trick. I was sooo down last night.

I'm going to stick with it. I've come too far to quit now. I'll keep you posted on what's happening.

you know, i wonder why people gain 6 pounds just for going off the plan for one week and eating like a normal person.. that seems kind of weird

Most of it is probably just water retention, you're eating very low sodium on plan so if you eat foods with high sodium you retain water. Like Katie said hit that lemon water it usually works great!!

I'm so glad I read your post today. I went on a trip last week and didn't eat that bad, did a lot of walking and also came home weighing 5 pounds more. I was ready to throw in the towel until I read your post and realized I wasn't the only one that this has happened to. I think I will also try the TO hopefully it's just water retention. It takes a lot to actually gain 5 pounds so I'm sure they will come off.

Well, there's GOOD news. I'm down 3.2 pounds today! Whew. Thank goodness for TO.

Its definately worth the work.

On a happy note... I justbought a pair of jeans (needed something low riding to keep from rubbing my new tattoo My Inner Child has finally come out to play!) and the pair I tried on and Bought are a 7/8. WOW.
