I am ready to do my grocery shopping! I will be going on Sunday. I have my food list that I got from this forum (because it has more than the book does!) but I was wondering if anyone has some additional suggestions of must-haves.
I did buy olive oil because it was 2 for 1 at my local grocery store! I have four bottles..
You want to make sure you have some healthy carbs like beans. Taco Bake is a favorite phase 1 recipe. You also want to make sure you are getting your yogurt or milk. I like to add Splenda and cinnamon to the plain fat free yogurt for phase 1 and I like to add SF flavored syrups to the skim milk since I don't care for plain milk.
Get lots of veggies. I find that fresh ones taste much better. I like egg substitute with mushrooms, onion and cheese during phase 1. I like to snack on raw cauliflower and raw zucchini as well as raw red pepper. In phase 1 I used to like to dip the peppers in hummus. Those are just some of my favorite things.
