Thumbs up Hello from the Midwest

Hello,

My name is Elycia and I am looking forward to losing over 100 lbs. I have twin girls that are 8 months old and while I love my little girls with all my heart, the pregnancy has done some horrible things to my body. I am just terribly out of shape now and really need to get crackin on this weight loss thing.

You know the old saying "Misery loves company", so I am "happy" to see that others have such a large amount of weight to lose. By happy I mean, I am glad that I am not alone and there are others that understand the challenges of losing such a large amount of weight. I am hoping to buddy up with a few here and maybe get a checkin together for encouragement. If anyone is interested, please post here so we can put our heads together and think of a kewl name for our checkin and get this weight off once and for all!!!!

Hope to hear from some of you guys!

Elycia

(back ) I love that you are "looking forward to losing over 100 pounds," because that is just the attitude you need to lose over 100 pounds. You have it set in your mind, and you will accomplish it if you keep that mindset.

Much luck and much strength as you begin your journey!!!!!

Hey LURKERS ~ she's offering a great opportunity to get a new group started!! Why don't you join her? You will all be new together!!! Come on ~ don't be shy now!!!!

Although summer can be a little slow with people on vacation, we have some great challenges, a weekly weigh-in, a 2006 losing thread and other ongoing thing where you can jump right in. We're a great bunch of buddies!

I'm from the Midwest, too! Isn't it HOT?!?!?!

I would love to join a group that would keep me accountable for these last 98lbs I have a 15mo old daughter who is getting harder and harder to keep up with by the day!

Let's keep in touch!

Default Hello Again

Wow, you guys rawk!!! Thanx for the welcome. It is so nice to be part of such an encouraging group. It is also nice to meet others that have succeeded in losing 100+ pounds. That is great!

So far. I have gotten up to work out 2 days in a row! Woohoo! Monday, I attempted to do Kickbutt Steamin Cardio. Uh, word to the wise, Steamin Cardio is probably not a good workout to start with if you have been inactive for a while. Today, I tried a little more toned down workout by Kathy Kaehler called Total Basic Fitness. It was pretty good. I did most of it. My girls woke up and so I had to stop. It was definitely more my speed.

In terms of eating, I am still working on that. I find it best to work on one thing at a time. So my main focus is getting into the habit of working out regularly. However, I am trying to make healthier food selections.

Okay, so those of you that volunteered and came out of lurkdom, I'm calling you out. CatrinaH & phoxiekat! I'd love for you guys to be part of the check-in! I have lost weight before and from past experience, it has helped so much to have others to check in with. The fact that we have quite a bit of weight to lose, we can really help each other through when times get tough. So, I would like to get started as soon as we can, please let me know what you are thinking! You can pm me if you like or post here.

Hope to hear from you guys soon and anyone else that would be interested.

I am so definitely in for the check ins.
Got my second reality check of the day , docs office called, I don't have lymes disease, Yahooo, though they are still pondering the elevation of another test, Well they can ponder and I will get busy getting healthier, we will see what that lab work shows in a month
I have over a hundred pounds to lose though , Still got to figure out this profile thing Hmmmm.
