Default Question about how i should weigh

i always weigh either right before i go to the doctor or right after so i know the difference in the scales and this last time it was a 2lbs differnce. my scale said 202.8 and theirs said 200.0 should i go by my scale at home as in if im down from 202.8 or should i look at what mine says and take off 2lbs? i go back to the doctor again on the 10th so ill know where i am with them. so do i just make it easy on myself and go by my own scale weight or do i subtract 2lbs from what mine says? thanks.

I would just go by my own scale. It's weight over time that shows a better picture. Your own scale will give you consistency.

I've always had the opposite problem to tell you the truth. My doctor's scales have always had me weighing 2 -3 lbs MORE than what I weigh at home. I was convinced it was a conspiracy against me, but I would suggest you stick to one scale and not the one that's more convenient. Since you are more likely to check your weight on your home scale, use the numbers you get on that scale. You'll be more honest to yourself. I don't think it's the number as much as it is the change you see. Don't forget inches!

SUPPOSEDLY.... doctor's scales are supposed to be "the most accurate" when compared to home scales. My doc scales record anywhere from 2-5 extra pounds on me.

So I happily go by my own home scale .... plus, I weigh the same time of day every time (morning, before breakfast, after shower) and always weigh naked. That way there's no wondering how much clothes, shoes, etc are putting on.

Did you know that your clothes can give you anywhere from 2-5 extra pounds? And that if you remove all your clothes & weigh JUST THE CLOTHES, they won't weigh the same as you clothed vs. you naked???

Weird Science!!!

the most important thing is to keep counting your weight-loss on the same scales, and then you'll know exactly how much you've lost, even if the scales differ on how much you weigh.

The scale may be accurate but what about the person operating it! My doctor's scales are the kind you stand on and move the weight over until it balances. They don't ever wait for that thing to stop bouncing before recording my weight.

So I go with what my home scale says. And I always weigh myself first thing in the morning...naked...before eating breakfast!
