Unhappy Exhausted and sick

My exercise has been suffering the past two weeks and I'm not happy about it at all. Last week, I was completely exhausted ALL week...I mean, falling asleep at work at my desk exhausted. And my lymph node underneath my right armpit hurt SO bad. I had no clue why I had the pain or why I was so tired. I had just gotten over my period, so it wasn't PMS. I walked one or two days, did Pilates two days and cleaned my apartment like a mad woman on Saturday.
Well, this past Monday, I had a horrible headache all day. Tuesday morning, I woke up coughing up some nasty stuff. Went to the doctor and just as I thought, I have a sinus infection. I feel like absolute crap and I'm using most of my energy to keep myself awake and focused at work.
I HATE not exercising. I just don't know if I should push myself to do it or just rest. My body is telling me "REST!" but my head is telling me, "WORKOUT!" So, I don't know what to do. I don't want to make myself any worse by pushing myself over the limit. But, I also don't want to regress in my fitness level.
What do you guys think?

REST!
Particularly if you are on antibiotics. They make most people more tired. Start back when you feel less fatigued.

Thanks Mel! Now I don't feel so guilty! LOL Even if I eat perfectly, I still always feel horribly guilty if I don't get my exercise in. I just needed someone to give me a little kick in the butt on this one!

I would definitely just rest. Your body is telling you what it needs.

I TOTALLY AGREE with Mel! Be good to your body by giving it what it needs NOW. You'll be better soon and ready to put it through its paces once again. Think of this rest as part of your respect for that body that has helped you to lose all the weight that you have lost. You may even want to try some meditation which will help center you and help you to get the oxygen that you need to get you feeling chipper again.

Sinus infections MAY be in the sinuses, but I think that they make the whole body feel just awful! Be good to your body, and be patient with it. It will love you back !

Please get some rest so your body can fight off the infection. I've had sinus problems for years and it's no fun . I hope you feel better soon

How about exercising differently? Believe it or not, just deep breathing is a form of exercise. And THAT certainly can't do anything but help your sinuses. While lying in bed, just focus on deep belly breathing. Possibly do some kegals or practice contracting your abs while sitting at work. Something simple. It's not aerobic exercise, but it IS exercise of a sorts, and maybe you'll feel like you've accomplished something so that not getting in the usual form of exercise won't tempt you so much.
