Wink Pointer Sistas Challenge: Week Six

A great points-counting challenge idea that came from Angie. So far it's been a hit and so we'll continue on each week, Mondays being the starting point.

Here is what it's all about:


The rules are simple... you get to earn 4 points per day, that is a total of 28 points per week. If you get 25 points or more, give yourself a reward. It doesn't have to be big, a new lipstick, pocket book, a pedicure, or time for you, just you.

You can earn 1 point for drinking all your water , 1 point for eating clean , 1 point for your workout , and 1 point for doing what ever you forget or avoid. ie: taking your vitamins, or tracking all your food intake ...this is something you can decide.

At the end of the week tally up your points. Make this fun, and remember you do deserve a reward...

Here I am again. To start the 6th week of aiming for an award! Is this really the 6th week?? Time sure if going by and I'm not accomplishing anything!

Here is my plan:

  • Water: 1pt
  • Vitamin: 1pt
  • Exercise: 1pt
  • One hour of relaxation to unwind from the day: 1pt.


I need to focus on my relaxation process after work. Let go of work when I walk out of that buildiing. So I'm thinking of yoga! Get myself back into that and get in some exercise! But I can do whatever I need to do to relax...read a book, walk, yoga what have you...just need to do it instead of stressing the rest of the night.

There. My plan for the week. Should work! We'll see.

Marti - I think you've made some wise choices there. How can you even think about weight loss with that much stress? True, our lives will always have some stress to deal with, but right now, until things settle down at work, this should work for you.

As much as I want to be a part of this, I think I'm letting it hinder my WW points counting. As I mentioned, it's as though I just cut loose once I've had 1 too many points, thinking, "Why not? I blew the Sistas point anyway." I have to admit that challenges have always seemed to trip me up, this is the first one I've done in forever, but I wanted to do this with you guys.

The only thing I know to do is to not include food as one of my points, but in my case, food is the thing I need to work on most, with exercise a very close second, so that seems pointless. Pun intended, lol.

I'm going to sit out this week and see if I do better just counting WW points.

Marti,,,good idea. I have actually been asking the girls (Becky and Angelika) if they want to take up yoga. Becky is all for it and needs it too. What a great way to destress.

Jane, no worries, regroup and go from there. You need to take care of you first.

So how are you two doing? I have to admit that I'm not doing well at all, and I wanted to be in control by the time the Mind/Body/Spirit group starts at our church. That's tomorrow! I think I need therapy. Or a kick in the patootey.

What's today?? Wednesday? Well that means I've got only 6pts so far. 2 a day.

That is SO not good. I need to rethink this all over and figure out what is my problem! I have that spark deep down inside me that wants to get moving. Then little things pop up and trigger the "Don't wanna do it" fairy!

Angie, how are you doing? Are you getting your points? What's your secret??

Ok....where is that bed of mine?

yikes,,,I actually have been doing fanastic. EXCEPT today. seriously didn't have time to eat till just now,,,and its 7:45 pm. I had a tea...and water all day.
so counting, everything I would say I have done 3 today,,,totally=15

Well yesterday I got all 4pts. I did some walking and I relaxed. Just sat and read a book. Didn't get on the computer much at all. THAT is one thing that I need to start doing more....staying of the puter! Get out and exercise, it's better for me!

So total is: 10

Angie....glad that you're doing so good! Are you wanting to keep this going for next week too? If not, let me know, otherwise, we'll just keep on going!

Marti,,,Im in the game now...lol
I got my 3 in...missed the exercise,,,but had planned to do all the walking while working. Instead I walked back and forth between my vehicle and the post office (fax machine)
so a total of 18
2 clean days and I will have my reward! I want it bad.
