Hello Everyone. Today was a celebration for my dad & brothers bdays so We went to red lobster. I ordered off the light house menu so I had about 550 calories there, I couldnt help but have a biscut! x.x So then We ate cake, and this whole diet is a secret, so I had one small peice and the nutrirtional info was 300 cals for a slice, so then 850 and then some ice cream (light yay) for 100 calories, and yogurt for breakfest, si about 1000 calories. Now everyone is going to want an evening snack, knowing my family, (were all kinda overweight) So would it be ok to go over some, or does anyone know some easy, tasty 200 calorie mini meals?
Don't worry about being over a bit, once in a while. Think more in terms of an average intake over a week. One day does not a weight-loss journey make or break.
That's what I was thinking! EEK. I like to take more of an average over the week too because some days I'm just not hungry and some days I'm ravenous... lately i've been averaging about 1300-1400 and that works for me. It's definately ok to fudge a little bit every once in a while as long as the bulk of your calories come from healthy sources and you're not going WAYYY over every other day
That is exactly what I thought too. At your weight I would think you should be eating more in the 1800 calorie range per day, perhaps even more. I am no expert on that. As for today, don't worry about it. One day does not ruin everything.
Girl you need to eat more!!! I am 188 and I eat 1700 calories a day. Lately I have been going over a few days a week and I am losing just over 2 pounds a week. Given that I get in over an hour a day on my exercise bike. But still, YOU HAVE TO EAT MORE. Your starving yourself! A dying person laying in the hospital needs at least 1200 calories a day! You body needs food! Don't be afraid to go over, WAY OVER!
....my doctor told me not to go below 1200 and I weigh 65 lbs less than you... I don't think that's right. Are you feeling ok? It wouldn't hurt to go talk to him again.
Ok hun, I just looked at your fitday... You're not getting a whole lot of nutrition from the foods you're eating!!! Maybe you can go to your doctor and he can help you work out an eating plan? Your body cannot function on 1200 calories of pizza and chicken nuggets! A huge majority of your calories are coming from fat... that's not going to help you lose! If you need some help finding the right kinds of foods to ask there are a lot of knowledgeable woman here who I'm sure would be happy to help you!

Actually, I never update my fitday, and most of time I can never find the foods that I actually eat, so its probably not accurate. (I never eat chicken nuggets, but I had some meatless ones )
Not 1000, Im on 1200, but that was actually doctor recomended.
Unfortunately, a lot of doctors are not very educated in the ways of weight loss. It's typically recommended that you NOT go below 1200 a day, so if your weight loss slows/stalls while you're already eating 1200, then you can't decrease it to start losing again. I'm not saying that you should listen to us crazies on the internet instead of your doctor, but unless you have some sort of circumstances of which we are unaware, 1200 is usually the minimum, not a good starting point when you've got over 100 pounds to lose. Maybe you could try getting a prescription to speak with a registered dietitian or someone else for whom weight loss is more their area of expertise?

You can input custom entries into fitday . Most of the things in mine I manually put it.
I was pretty close to your weight too when I started and between then and now... and my doctor too told me not to go under 1800. It works and I'm losing approx. 2 pounds a week and am never hungry.
