Arrow Fashionistas??

I've always taken great care in how I dress myself. I've never met a heel I didn't like, lol. A lot of my clothing, however is more casual dressy than anything else. I am currently on the hunt for a new job. I need some very professional attire. Where have you found good quality suits for plus sizes (I'm a 18/20, probably more 20 in something tailored)? I don't own anything remotely resembling a suit, don't know where to begin. It wouldn't hurt if the store recommended wasn't insanely expensive as I hope to start back losing weight soon...now...ahem ahem. I already have very nice slacks and dress shirts but I know I want to step things up a level. Help me to look the part! TIA.

I think the best stores I have found for professional dress clothing are Catherine’s, Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, and Ross. You can probably find some jackets on clearance right not left over from the last season. You will see more suit type clothing in the fall. Most of the time the stores will sell everything separate for a suit. You could probably find jackets to work with what you already have. I prefer Lane Bryant because everything seems to be cut for me in that store. The way a garment is cut can dramatically effect the way you look in it. When you get to size 16 try Victoria's Secret, they have really stylish suits. Good luck with you job search!

JC Penney usually has a good selection too and they aren't outrageously expensive. Also, Liz Claiborne's "Elizabeth" line has great career clothes. If you don't have a shop nearby you can shop online. There is even an Elizabeth outlet if I'm not mistaken.

Talbots! They have a great line for plus size women -- I really love their clothes! They are even having a sale right now -- you can check them out online! Sale is great, because it's not cheap!

Thanks everyone. I forgot about Talbot's, a friend used to shop there all the time.
