Question for the Beachers: What's the SBD stance on vodka and gin?
I know 1-2 glasses of red wine per night is ok in P2, but in the summer I prefer a nice gin or vodka tonic. Is it ok if I use slimline (diet) tonic? How often is ok? I keep coming home from work and really craving my fav summer drink - a vodka tonic with muddled strawberries - but I don't want to blow the diet!
Hi Schmelie.. The SB book and guide are pretty sketchy on alcohol in general. The Good Fat/Good Carb book states that gins/vodkas/ etc are on the "very limited" consumption list... however, the terms used like "limited" and "very limited" aren't well defined.. What you could try is having your cocktail and seeing if it sets off any cravings,or stalls your weight .....
I agree with Schatzi. I do the same thing with certain foods.....try something and see after a few days how it affects me. It all seems to vary from person to person.
